Wasn't the villain of the first RC novel a Mandalorian? Plus Death Watch shows up later and no one likes them.

I confess I was only really familiar with the first few books so I will take your word on the later stuff

(though how much did Travis contribute to Mando culture? Frankly, it feels like a lot of stuff attributed to her came from earlier works, particularly the history of the Mandalorians article. The main thing I remember that was all her was retconning the Mandos from a society where the warrior culture was dying out apart from a special forces unit and with a civilian government and population, to some anarcho-libertarian thing with no government, few big cities and mostly just family enclaves in the wilderness where everyone and their space dog is a Boba Fett but they still have a megacorp that produces the best stuff somehow)

Oh yeah huh...come to think of it, I was pretty sure Boba was going to show up this season considering all the stuff about cloning and bounty hunters so the clone bounty hunter seemed like a natural fit...doesn't look like there is any time for that this season though.

Unless the Bad Batch somehow get the credits to hire Krayt's Claw, but that doesn't seem likely.

Depends on how quickly the Empire kicks her out in exchange for Saxon.

Her helping Rex could be the pretext they use.

She "contributed" a lot. Just because she didn't always provide the initial appearance of a feature doesn't mean that her expansions weren't the definitive takes on them.

Pretty good episode, but I'm really starting to roll my eyes at how many times they keep falling back on "My old friend I've never interracted with before". Like, I know it can be *made* to work, but it just feels kinda cheap.
One of the things I always hated from Rebels was what they did with Gregor, so I wasn't really as psyched to see him as most people. Scorch though...I legit got kind of emotional when I saw him. I gave up on any commando sequels a long time ago, and may or may not have come up with my own elaborate headcanon for how Delta deserts after ImpCom, so it definitely hurt a little to see him in full Empire mode. At least they made him a badass, I guess.
Also, Michelle Ang does *not* get enough credit. Her last couple of lines this episode were devastating.

(What's the spoiler policy for this show anyway? Monday after? A week?)

We don't know for sure that Gideon's experiments were Snoke related seems more like his faction were trying to mass produce artificial force sensitives on their own.

    True.

Though that would be a pretty good reason for her to not help, especially since it isn't like she knows the Bad Batch and has only met Rex briefly, and if her attitude towards Boba in the Mandalorian is anything to go by, she is not a fan of clones.

    Fair enough.

What really bugs me about that is that it wasn't even cloning. The recording said clear as day that they were injecting Grogu's blood into volunteers.

She could use Rex (closest friend of her ally Ahsoka) as source of intelligence information about the Empire, so her help would not be free.

So chances that one of the plot points of Bad Batch will be we see Kamionians teaching Imperial Scientist the ways of Cloning.

Pretty certain Sheev already has one method of cloning. It's not in his nature to rely entirely on anyone.

To be honest I could care less what Karen Traviss thinks she hasn’t had anything to do with Star Wars since what 2011? 2010?

Not even those - as we now know the Empire was also working on Starkiller and the Xystons.

Actually the Empire didn't have anything to do with either. All the Empire did was hollow out Ilum, the First Order were the ones who implemented the idea of Starkiller. As for the Xystons there might have been Imperial resources utilized in their construction, but I tend to think not considering they were off the books that were off the books, unlike the Death Stars which were at least known to enough Imperials to get them constructed and operated. They were conceivably entirely assembled using only Exegol/Unknown Region resources.
