Some really good things in the season and this episode and some absolute trash, there was an all time show buried in there somewhere, unfortunately it was buried deeply under some absolute stupidity and unfortunately for me, I just cannot get past all the inconsistencies that make just no sense.

9 only because I needed Qimir and Vernestra to fight.

The Vernestra and Rayencourt fight was a better choice.

I really didn't like this and its not because of any political opinions or such.

I just found myself really disappointed in the storytelling and pacing. The story was rushed and uneven and I don't like some of the ideas brought into it.

All in all the show is a 3.5-4/10

The show in a nutshell, this post should be fixed at the top.
The show wanted to look like some mistery instead just tell a cohesive story.
People freaked out in the internet because of the virgin birth stuff and when Sol told the twins about it their reaction was to have no reaction, a big "whatever dude", wich was hilarious. Unintentionally probably.

Has it been explained anywhere what was going on at the beginning when Osha was having trouble in the helmet and Qimir's eyes went black?

Was that a little show of power from Plagueis? After all, the black eyes as per the show itself is an indicator of possession,

At the moment that's the best way I can make sense of it, unless someone has the real reason?

It was Osha, fully immersed in the Force, unintentionally tapping into her inherited power from mum. Which is why the moment Qimir pushed through and ripped the helmet off of her, it all stopped.

In the helmet, the wearer is cut off from their external senses so that they can connect more deeply in the Force and connect with whatever their most powerful emotions are.

Osha connects with her anger and this leads to a vision of her killing Sol.

    That's it.

Yeah, I get that, but having a vision doesn't equate to being stuck in the helmet, nor does it explain why Qimir's eye's went black in the same way Torbin's did. It's those 2 specifics I'm trying to make sense of.

    OK, yeah, that works.

Honestly I didn't know what was totally going on either, since it wasn't just his eyes that went black, but the entire room went blue/dark. Obviously the black-eyed witch trick ... but didn't know quite what exactly was happening.

    But that all makes sense.

Yeah, the room went blue/ dark as it did for Torbin when the witches entered his mind and his eyes went black. So it was mirroring that to show us that the same thing was happening to Qimir.

The scene was probably meant to demonstrate Osha's power, once all inhibitions were removed by her full immersion into the Force.

Unrelated: but at the end of 6, when she first put the helmet on, you can see faint, blurred movement through the narrow eye slits. Episode 8 shows Qimir entering the room just before he has to forcibly remove the helmet, so I choose to headcanon that as soon as Osha put the helmet on, Plagueis was skulking about the room to gain a sense of her.

Yup. Showing her witch powers come out, as a way of setting up her force choke later in the episode.

She took over his mind like Aniseya did to Torbin, but he was strong enough to fight it. Contrast to Torbin who completely gave in

Osha murdered a man rather than bringing him to actual justice. She isn't Batman. She went darkside. The blade went red. She choked him to death.

    So yes lol

So Mae killed Indara and Torbin but Vernestra gives her a pass but when Osha kills Sol who was directly responsible for her mothers death she does NOT get a pass?

But Vernestrat knows that Mae killed Indara and Torbin and told Mae as much so I don't know why her mind being wiped would absolve her for two murders even if she can't remember them.

She blames it all on Sol. Mae killed because of Sol

So with that in mind I guess Osha doesn't need to hide from the Jedi because she can say that she was justified in killing Sol like her sister was justified in killing Indara and Torbin.
