*cackles* Oh, perhaps not so noble, Lord Hades. Perhaps not. For two years did the Ancient Sith Empire hold sway in this SWC. It sleeps in shadow and stone, now, but I would see the ways of the True Sith be restored to dominance once more. [face_skull]

What can be more noble than the True Sith and our glorious rise to prominence once more?

*chuckles* Indeed, indeed. The new ways are overrated. What is the seven years of Krayt or the twenty three years of Palpatine? Holding mundane political power over the galaxy should mean little. Are not godhood, unparalleled command of the Force and immortality more worthy goals? Is not the millennium of Vitiate more impressive?

The old ways, of shadow and flame, shall return to glory, death and destruction the crucible upon which the Empire is forged. To paraphase H. P. Lovecraft:

"The secret priests would take the True Sith from Their tomb to revive Their subjects and resume Their rule of the galaxy. The time would be easy to know, for then sapientkind would have become as the Immortal Gods of the Sith; free and wild and beyond good and evil, with laws and morals thrown aside and all beings shouting and killing and revelling in joy. Then the liberated Sith Lords would teach them new ways to shout and kill and revel and enjoy themselves, and all the galaxy would flame with a holocaust of ecstasy and freedom."

Unparalleled power within the Force is indeed more worthy. I have always contended that instead of focusing on Political power, or destruction of the Jedi, the Sith should focus on unraveling all the secrets of The Force.

It is my contention as well, and indeed the contention of the original Dark Jedi Exiles, of Vitiate, of Nadd, of Kun.

Paperwork and micromanagement... Those are the mundanities in the life of a Galactic Emperor. But what is an Emperor to a god? Sure, the destruction of the Jedi might be a necessity in pursuit of this goal, for Jedi have an annoying habit of attempting to persecute the Sith's efforts to achieve apotheosis and forge utopia, but something so petty as revenge for past injustices, or holding an office of political power, should never be the central focus.

Plagueis had the right idea. Palpatine did not.

This is why, as Zandoran Celix, I am a businessman and Philanthropist, but as Hades, I am a Sith intent on knowing all I can, and forging myself into a weapon of and for the Darkside.

Ah yes, Lord Hades... There has been an awakening. Have you felt it?

Unfortunately, I think the amount of posts moved to/merged with the DoD thread, and the fact it's already more popular and thus visible, means most new users are finding it long before the AoD.

Ah, Yes, the Dominion. Always a rival. Perhaps it would be wise to discuss a merging of the entirety of our ranks.

There have been many symbols of the Sith, associated with various Empires and Orders. The symbol most commonly associated with the Sith Order is a symbol prominently used by Naga Sadow, an ancient Dark Lord.

Well, cool is quite subjective isn't it? I find that particular symbol the most aesthetically pleasing and cruelly elegant, for instance. What did you have in mind?

Yes "cool" I'd subjective. Lol. I'm doin a design on my car and I want to put a sith logo on it as well. That logo looks kinda plain compared to the Jedi, or Imperial Force logos

Well, there's also this symbol, of the Old and greatest Sith Empire.

Which, when reconstituted, adopted the following symbol, which I personally dislike as it's essentially a rip-off of later Jedi and Imperial symbols.

And then there's the symbol associated with Revan's Sith Empire.

The first symbol - the 'quad sun' - as well as the symbol I posted before are those most recognisable and associated with the Sith as a whole. There's other symbols you can find on Wookieepedia, associated with various different individual Lords and factions.

I got into a debate with a friend of mine last night over the rumor that the Sith were going to be called the Damned. I'm not sure I believe it, I could find no concrete evidence of it... nothing from any official sources, and we all know how rumors are on the internet.

Can anyone here shed some light on it?

Who says there is such a thing as a dark side, or a light... What if there is only the Force, restrained by the Jedi, embraced in its unrestrained form by the Sith?

Welcome BTW. I'm sure Manda'lor will be giving a welcome as well. :p

    I speak of this theory.
    • Dark side users are almost always stronger than light side users.
    • If you do not constantly control yourself and your emotions you end up on the dark side.
    • All dark side users basically end up with the same goals (conquering the universe / becoming "evil"), no matter what personality they originally had.
    • Dark side users have no concept of self-preservation beyond furthering their new goals, they literally train the person meant to kill them (their apprentice).
Potential conclusion: The dark side is the only aspect to the Force. "Light side users" are just those people mentally strong enough to tap into this power source without succumbing to its corrupting effects.

This is very interesting theory maybe their is only the force but the dark side is very powerful and it does show it in the movies beside the empire was not evil.

Sorry, missed this. This fanclub is essentially inactive, these days, supplanted by its equivalent in the EU Community (link in my sig).

Nope, the Sith were never going to be called the Damned. In the very earliest drafts, there were to be a sect of mercenary warriors called the Knights of Sith; this soon evolved into a Force-using organisation called the Legions of Lettow, before the name reverted to Sith albeit "Sith Lords" - although this only made it into the ANH novelisation, and indeed in the movies the word Sith wasn't mentioned until TPM.
