TV Discussion The Ahsoka Tano Mega Thread Power Hour

I kinda hope Ahsoka does not appear this week, but I am betting almost everything she will. Like with foreshadowing Palpatine in season 2, then bringing him in now, I firmly believe Ahsoka will pull Ezra into the world between worlds and the two will escape together.

 

Na doubt we'll see her until later in the year with a new series. She played her part, she's got fans guessing what is next.

 

As much as Filoni likes Ahsoka as a character he also realizes the drawbacks to having her around. In that she tends to steal the focus away from the characters that are the main cast within the series. I'd be extremely surprised if he allowed Ahsoka to do that in a episode that is meant to be the finale for the series that these characters starred in.

 

Not that I'd object to it, but I wonder if having Ahsoka around in each new animated series that he creates was Filoni's intention all along; kind of like the bridge to connect the past to the present. And when I say, "all along", of course I mean since the cancellation of TCW. I'm still under the presumption that it would've been his intention to seal her fate had the original series been allowed to continue.

 

I wasn't thinking IX. I'm sure we'll see 70-year-old Ahsoka in comics, novels, or the rumored tv show that will take place between VIII and IX. Dropping Ahsoka into the Skywalker Saga in Episode IX wouldn't be a good idea.

 

There are plenty of possibilities for the character, whether live action tv, animation, or a movie. I just hope she isn't tossed in a novel or comic and wrapped there. Perhaps she'll go into exile after Rebels, and emerge after the fall of the Empire, and meet with a post-ROTJ Luke.

 

It would be interesting to see (hypothetically speaking of course) if Ahsoka does make it through the post-ROTJ era how Ashley portrays her voice moving forward. There were some subtle difference when she matured through the TCW series; and then in Rebels she has a more adult voice. As an elderly Togrutan, I'd imagine her voice would change pretty dramatically.

 

It’s weird to think that at this point she is 36. She will be 41 by ROTJ.

 

She'll get more screen time, fans love her and Dave knows that..

 

Dave also loves expanding her character, so no I agree she will most likely show up in the next show.

 

All three of who? Do you mean Luke, Han, and Leia? Or Luke, Leia, and Rey? Or Luke, Leia and Kylo?

 

Missed opportunities...

 

She's amazing xD easily would've been one of the top Jedi if she hit Master. If she was ever a teacher to a padawan they are one lucky person.

 

I really feel Ahsoka is the lasting hero from animation, sort of what Luke was to the OT. The lightsaber wielding star who's journey we'll follow for years. I imagine that's how kid view her that grew up with CW as well. Filoni should be involved wherever her storyline goes, but I do hope its live action.

 

Cool pic. You know they will have force ghost Luke in that scene though long before they would have Ahsoka. I'm still not sure Ahsoka has a place in the ST time period or post ST time period. Rey's purpose seems to be to start the Jedi Order over from scratch from the rules that were around long before Ahsoka was around and seemed to be scrapped by the previous Jedi Order long before Ahsoka was born.

I think Ahsoka could help Luke try to restart the Jedi Order on his failed attempt. But I think Ahsoka should be out of the story by the time Luke starts losing his way.

 

Wherever her place might be, I'd love to see Ahsoka with Luke at some point in the timeline.

She could watch the Empire fall from the gateway, and exit after the death of Vader, but I'm not crazy about her abandoning the rebellion and the galactic conflict for years. I honestly doubt the gateway will be used again in Rebels, too many possible implications for the timeline.

 

Going farther, that was the second time she faced them in battle, she fought them all one way or another before :
- Anakin on Mortis while she was possessed
- Palpatine (kind of), under the Jedi temple in the unaired arc
- Maul on Mandalore

 

We need to see that unaired arc. I recall the old rumours, that this unaired arc was meant to imply Ahsoka learned the identity of Sidious.
