The close quarters of an office environment are your greatest threat to victory here, IMO. Groot's ability to grow and grow and grow and occupy space, regenerate anything that comes off him, and just occupy that space with endless amounts of himself. In the great wide open? in the streets of New York? I'd like your chances more. In a confined space ... not so much

 

I'm unaware of any blast / weapon / tech / power ever limiting Groot's ability to grow/regenerate. After all, futuility is beneath Groot. I

'll leave it up to the judges to decide if your argument that Miles "should" be able to prevent is enough to counter him literally always being able to keep growing and regenerating.

 

if he was knocked out. Sure. hits from Thanos don't knock him out. Being thrown down to a planet out of orbit made him only very fleetingly lose his senses, but didn't knock him out. He shows immediate recovery from a shockwave from Adam Magus. And could Miles knock out all the Groot Clones at once?

I'm satisfied that Hyperion can take at least one lightning bolt fro Storm, and probably wouldn't get tagged very much by it (not because I've seen his combat speed to be so fast, but his flight speed is, and it would be difficult for her to pinpoint him). So Hyperion

Probably Morg is just a bit too much for Namor, although a solid fight.

Spider-Gwen TRUMPED with Miles Morales vs Groot
I think I have to give it to the spiders here. Groot is stronger than either and can do a lot of cool things, but I think this trump is uniquely qualified to handle the kind of attacks Groot is capable of, and the venom thing definitely helps, if it doesn't fully incapacitate him. Trump

I'm going with Kamala. She's got the strength of a giant-man type with the agility/dodging/stretching of a Mr. Fantastic mixed with Spider Man, and a healing factor close to Wolverine. Gladiator suffers from performance issues, so I have no problem thinking he'll eventually waver when she doesn't go down as quick as he'd like. Marvel

I was reading a comic last night where Ms. Marvel got beaten by a wannabe Godzilla. All he had to do was strangle her. Gladiator is insane. He’s got the strength, the skill, the stamina and is a great tactical fighter. Hell, he was brought in as the last resort to take down Thanos and nailed him. An injured Thanos, yes, but a Thanos that had just destroyed countless powerful superheroes. He was too much for all the Guardians and X-Men combined. One stretchy gurl ain’t standing in his way.
