The Animated Character Draft (Champion = Chim)

Well, she's built like a human. Is there anything that says she wouldn't be?


Edit: I used Super Sonic in the video game draft all the time when I was in it. He owns anyway, but as super it was even better.

 

She's built like a human but she's not biological. Since it's a sight hypnosis it would have to be a reaction w/either the eye or something along the path from the eye to the brain, and Nono doesn't have biological eyes or a biological brain I think, so it shouldn't work the same

 

Ok, then, I guess we're all set to go. As soon as I get my laptop back I can post the game.

Oh, do I need a third judge? Are one of you previous judges coming back? Right now I have Ben and Crash.

We're going to not add any more power? Saiyan Saga would be too much? A lot of people were begging for Vegeta last time.

I say keep Alucard. We can just assume people with enough holy power can hurt him, like we assume people with enough resources can hurt kryptonians. I dunno.

As far as the rest of the teams go, I was thinking the Avatar team, Ninja Turtles, Thundercats, maybe add the Masters of the Universe or something. Some of the alchemists, the Alric brothers. Naruto teams too much? I'll get a list while I wait for my laptop.

Meh, like I said earlier, I don't really care too much. Not gonna be in this one to win it. My team's gonna be my team no matter which way the overall power level swings, so my vote probably shouldn't count for too much. Though I would of course prefer that my team doesn't end up looking like a SWF squad. I'd like them to be at least semi-competitive, but that would kinda go into the toilet with Nono, Tenchi, Galaxia and a bunch of DBZers (among others) on everyone else's teams.

It ya'll's call. Whatever's the most fun for the majority, I guess.

Um... What's the logic behind losing Galaxia and keeping Nono??

Saiyan Saga is too much foreal, imo.

Naruto teams is kinda bleh to me, but not worth my time to argue it past this post.

I guess if we're having FMA teams we could have State Military (Elrichs, Mustang and Armstrong), uh... Kimblee, Grand and Archer? Should Homunculi team up? Maybe Scar and Lust?

Of course we could use the movie version of Alphonse, who had his body and could transmute his soul into inanimate objects (many at once). And then we could add Wrath to the team.

Greed's underground sucks so... I dun even know if it's worth adding them. Depends on how the teams are split I guess.

Wasn't Dom saying he would like to judge a while back? He'd be good for the third judge spot I would think. If he still wants to, of course.

You forgot a good group, Yak. I mean, I know you put Greed with the Elrics but this makes a whole lot more sense, as this was his group. They actually were a pretty formidable team. If you want to put someone with the Elrics in his place, I'd say put Izumi in there. Which would go a lot farther towards settling down Wrath than Greed would. In fact, it would probably be best to place Wrath with Sloth, as he would be useless should the two teams fight. With that, it then becomes better to put Pride with Grand, Kimblee, and Archer. Seeing as he used all three of them. Dante could be given Gluttony. And then even Scar and Lust could go with the Elrics as each formed a tentative alliance with them at one point in the series.

Whatever gets the draft rollin. Although if Wrath is with Sloth we're probably not using the movie versions. I can't see the more mature Wrath working with Sloth.

Where are we going to post teams in regards to the list? Make it separate like the PL? I guess I'll do that, like the shows are done now, with the team name in bold, and the players underneath. So it would look like this on the regular list:

Oh, movie, right.

I like to pretend that doesn't exist. Which led to my forgetting about it entirely. I still want Greed to be with his Chimera troupe. But we only really need to change the groups for that purpose, I guess. So place Izumi in with the Elrics and give Greed his gang.

Heard many things that made me shake my head in disgust, would rather pretend it isn't canon. But if you want to use it for this draft then I guess we can.

They should probably go, as they're both pretty worthless. I'd suggested them as possible throwaway/favorite/joke characters back before I had any idea that the overall power level for this draft was going to be the way it is. I was orginally thinking more of an M/TV level, and those guys would've been joke picks even then. But now that it's clear that this draft may actually top the comic draft in terms of the average character's level of power, they just have zero business here. Shame, that. Part of me would love to pick Kintaro.

EDIT: Oh, and Ninja Scroll seems to me like it'd be perfect for the team thingy.

 

Should we take out the Dix Neuf if we are losing Nono? I mean, that was the whole point of adding the Dix Neuf was to have a T-Elos to Nono's KOS-MOS.

 

But now that it's clear that this draft may actually top the comic draft in terms of the average character's level of power


It could do that easily if we took the kiddie gloves off.


EDIT: I don't think that picking any mech you want for your pilot is going to work. We'll keep it to canonical mechs they have piloted, and prep can get them another one from their own series. The other way would get too crazy.

 

Screw that. It'd be just as bad for this draft as it was in comics.

 

I know it would get out of hand, but it would be soooo awesome.
