Hemlock mentioned some other projects to the Emperor. I guess it's nothing important to us the viewers. Just letting us know that they got all sorts of "Evil black magic" crap up their sleeves.

So far this episode really stands out. Yes I think it's more of the type of blood along with an M count that is needed. Omega is built up much more productive in the show compared to other young heroes that I hardly think anything negative when it involves her heroism. And what can you say about Crosshair? His time for redemption? Or will he revert back after this? I see this changing his path as it would be a downer if he reverts back. In no way did I think it was possible he would change.

The Royal Red Guards!!! Yes! Need to see them in action before this ends. Oh and the Emperor guy also was in it. Project Necromancer in full effect.

I preferred this good escape to the Batch breaking into the facility. And Batches creature helps as predicted but they also take it with them, hilarious.

Kinda funny that with all the focus on midi-chlorians in current shows they are referred mostly as "M-count", seems like authors think that fans still have some level of animosity towards midi-chlorians from the time when PT was released.

    Fans do have that still...

Now we can go on a big clowning about what fans mean. I say some fans never liked the midi mimi stuff such as myself. Others did not mind it. Big whoop! people have different opinions.

I was enjoying this show but fell out of it due to other shows grabbing my and my family’s attention and then I fell behind so bad in S2 and my kids sort of lost interest in catching up in comparison to other stuff that now I’m struggling to catch up. Toward the end of S2 I remember asking some people here if there was anything interesting developing related to the First Order, Palpatine, Snoke, Grogu, Gideon, etc and though it sounded like there was some interesting bread crumbs… nothing concrete. Perhaps I just misunderstood. Anyway, I thought I’d check in again now that we’re a few episodes into S3. Any big revelations yet? Please resist the urge to troll with fake revelations. Yes. They mentioned project Necromancer from the Mandalorian. It is made pretty obvious they are already working on cloning Palpatine. Now the entirety of the empire is on the hunt for Omega cause her blood can be transfused with that of a high midichlorian individual. It’s not clear on weather or not Omega herself is force sensitive or just has special blood

I think Tech is actually dead but his corpse is being used as part of Project Necromancer. Will he get resurrected, don't know but I think that might be the reveal

I'm wondering whether Omega is Force sensitive or, rather, is sought as an ideal candidate more due to being a stable clone body. Clone stability is just as important to the success of Sidious's plan as Force sensitivity.

Whilst I'm sure there's some truth in that, it's also common logic that scientists use shorthand for longer scientific names and terms. If my job was to count midi-chlorians, I'm pretty sure I'd start saying "m-count" before my first day's lunch break.

It'd help if some character, at some stage, said the term "midi-chlorians" out loud. Once they do, then we're all good.

Why is Palpatine wearing a wooden mask?

Oh, there's Batcher. What a surprise.

It has to be more than her being a stable clone. I at least think it would

This was a brilliant episode. After a very bleak first episode, we get a slightly more hopeful second one with the Batch failing at finding Omega but at leat rescuing those poor cadets and now the third one ends on a high with Crosshairs and Omegas escape, I can definetely see why they released those three as a season premiere. Nonetheless it's clear it won't get any easier from here on out. Loved how on the one hand Crosshair being deadly despite his growing disabilty, him calling back to Tech and old Batch plans and Omega's resourcefullness and domestication of Batcher set them up for escape, it still would have failed if Hemlock didn't discover he needed them alive. The Empire is at the height of its power in this time and we definetely get to see it. Also loved to see the Emperor and the connections to the Mandalorian and the ST with this. Emerie continues to be intriguing too, still the loyal stooge but clearly wracked with regrets at this point, which kind of makes it poignant that she gets to save Omegas live but at the same time points an even more giant target on her back. Wonder whether she'll stay loyal to the end or whether she'll reach her breaking point at some point, I could see both. Nala Se on the other hand is probably done for, with all her deceptions now out in the open. The Kaminoans were terrible but after the destruction of Kamino, it will be sad to see one of the last remaining Kaminoans go.

This episode definetely derserves a 10/10.

This was great. Though instead of "Shadows of Tantiss," it should've been called "THE IMPERIALS OFFER THE HEROES THEIR ONLY MEANS OF ESCAPE BY FORGETTING TO RETRACT THE ROPES THEY SLID DOWN FROM THEIR SHUTTLE. THAT WAS NOT A SMART MOVE."

The score this season is clearly inspired by the Andor score, and it really works. Creates a great atmosphere.

I'm a sucker for the whole "the hunting dogs don't attack their intended prey because the prey was nice to them" thing. There are actually more than one real-life stories of that happening with hunting dogs asked to hunt down slaves who had been kind to them. Doesn't work. *******s lose to nice people because dogs like people who are nice to them. I eat that stuff up.

    Palpatine was cool.

It's also just a way of worldbuilding. Feels realistic that scientists would have a shorthand for it. Like they do in real life. Scientists called the "Coronavirus disease 2019"..."COVID-19." Midichlorian is five syllables, and M-count is two. Makes perfect sense, without assuming that Lucasfilm is still nervous about saying midichlorian count. I don't think that's very likely. Nobody cares anymore about something fans didn't like over two decades ago.

I think Nala Se has been fantastic all series and really got a time to shine here. I loved how she spoke with Omega when telling her to run. She was panicking but trying not to show it to anyone else there.

Hemlock is in a bit of a pickle now too. He’s obviously ruthless and would likely want to kill her buf he is methodical as well and knows that Nala Se is the key to everything. He can’t kill her yet, he needs to break her and find out EVERYTHING she knows first. In any event, Nala Se is in a world of trouble.

Nala Se's voice and speech pattern really upped the eeriness of things. Just her warning Omega in that tone scared me.

Loved seeing Palpatine and the Project Necromancy lore. I hope we see more of both in the future. The first and third episode are my favorite of the first three. I'm more invested emotionally in Omega and Crosshair's story right now.

And Batcher indeed returned. That payoff didn't take long. "Why do I sense we've picked up another pathetic life form."

This show is firing at a level it hasn't shown previously. I'd expect part of that is to make the three-part opener really good, and that we'll see some of that dreaded filler, but so far so good.

Hemlock is cut straight from the Thrawn mold. There's an escape from an inescapable place, through basically a haunted forest, and around presumably your best troops? It's a minor set-back.

Omega lets Batcher on the ship. Batcher's attachment is with Omega. Batcher doesn't know Crosshair. Batcher rips Crosshair to shreds.
