    Miguel Cabrera?

Was this before or after Dave Dombroski had to bail him out of a drunk tank?

So I just went back to page 1 and I don't see any more opportunities to add players. Is that correct?

You can sign free agents throughout the season (possibly ending when the playoffs start) provided you have the IntyBucks for it.

Once the commish re-opens transactions, you can sign as many as your budget allows. And then trading is available until the trade deadline.

I saw these at my work and thought they would fit for those who want Shaq snacks at their games

Yes, these are real. I have them at work and immediately thought of this thread

You obviously are mailing me some right?

Also lmao @ Captain Fred Carroll, how fitting.

Are we to assume Ghost Monkey gets captain status as well?

Alright, at this point in time, all Managers have been created/imported. You should see them reflected in your roster spreadsheets. IF you don't, refresh, and if that doesn't work, let me know.

I have about five players that need fixed before we can do anything. I'll get those updated and confirm to the GMs of those impacted players once it's done.

A note on Managers: at this point in time, all teams have had their strategies defaulted to "ask manager for strategy". If you want to be a more meddling owner, that's cool - just tell me where/how you want to override the manager you hired but obviously do not trust.

A note on chemistry: Pre-Spring Training and even through ST, there's not much in the chemistry reports beyond relationship with manager and player classes. Every team has one full chemistry report they can use between Opening Day and the All-Star Break that will show more of what's happening with the chemistry of the team. After the All-Star Break (or after your first report) additional reports will cost you ₺5. Free Chemistry report is tradeable, so I guess you could acquire a second one pre-All Star Break that way, too.

Targeting Sunday to get all corrections into rosters and other requested updates.

When do you all want me to target Spring Training? You don't need your full starter/reserve strategy set, as we learned multiple times it will ignore most strategies during ST and allocate playing time all over the place. Planning on doing two batches with stats posted in between. Maybe towards the end of this week? Wednesday night?

Also - Intybucks give away. Related to the meme above, my Therapist now asks about three of you FODEUSS people by name as we walk though my support system and the things I'm doing to invest in self care. One Intybuck to anyone who correctly identifies one of them, with the caveat that you cannot guess yourself.

at this point in time, I have the earnest, honest belief that I have fixed every roster error that was called out to me. If you have not gotten confirmation of the correction of an error, I have forgotten it and you need to remind me again.

So far, you all have correctly identified two of the three names. I won't say which two are correct (although, yes, the obvious answer was obvious and correct). I'll keep it open until you all guess who the third man is.

    Transactions via IntyAssignment

    • Amazings have signed Eddie Gaedel, 1951 (what can I say, I trust Mr. Met to not let him drive the bullpen car) and Ray Daviault, 1962.
    • Every City Bandwagoners have signed Red Gunkel, 1916, Shorty Des Jardien, 1916, Johnson Fry, 1923, and Lem Hunter, 1883
    • Performance Enhancers have signed President Dwight D Eisenhower, 1911
    • Reseda Free Fallers have signed Jason Grimsley, 1994 and Tony Pena, 1995, as well as George Harrison and John Lennon
    • Birmingham Shaq Barons have signed: Hebron (James), 1907, The American Dream Dusty Rhoades, 1930, Eddie George, 2011, A man who pitched for both Cleveland and Cincinnati at the Major League Level and played for THE Ohio State University Dave Burba, 2001, one of the first players to every play for both Cleveland and Cincinnati Gus Wehing, 1901, in the most I'm sorry old friend selection possible Drew Henson, 2000, and to make up for that we'll also have them sign a man well deserving of his place in the Hall of Fame - though certainly not for on-field credentials - and a proud graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University ... Branch Rickey, 1914

Per what's in OOTP and with Inty Assignments already given in thread, that should bring everyone to 40 or more players. Which means you are all free to resume signing, trading, etc.

Welcome to the Inty-Grated Press: Fake Bill Simmons and Fake Cousin Sal

FODEUSS 7th Season Preview: Bill Simmons and Cousin Sal on MVP, Cy Young, and the Best Bets for a Wild Season

    ---

Bill Simmons: All right, Sal, it’s FODEUSS season 7, and I’m ready to talk some awards bets. I know you’ve been waiting all offseason to throw some money around on these guys. You got a couple of bets locked down already?

Cousin Sal: Oh, you know I do, Billy. Right out of the gate, I’ve got my eye on this parlay — I’m putting Willie Mays and Toad Ramsey together for an MVP/Cy Young combo. Look, Mays can do everything out there, and Ramsey? That guy’s a knuckleball nightmare. They’re both on the Stone Temple Seattle Pilots, and I’m telling you, that team is going to dominate. You’ve got the best defender in center field and a guy who throws a pitch nobody can hit. This could be my big payday.

Bill: I like it — it’s bold, but it’s got potential. But let me up the stakes here. If you want a real high-risk, high-reward bet, why not go for Bullet Joe Rogan to win *both* MVP and Cy Young? Northern Shores Gales of November have this guy who can pitch and hit — he’s like Babe Ruth but with a faster fastball. Imagine pulling that off! MVP and Cy Young in the same season? That’s like calling for the cycle and a shutout in the same day.

Sal: Bullet Joe pulling the double? I’m not brave enough to throw my cash on that one, Billy. But I respect the hustle. He’s a unicorn for sure. But we’re talking about MVP bets here, and everyone’s drooling over the “big names.” You know the top guys — Wagner, Ruth, Ty Cobb — they’re all sitting there as the favorites. But I love that Mays pick because he’s got that *all-around* factor, and he’s just as likely to get you the highlight reel as he is to take home the hardware.

Bill: Mays is solid. Honus Wagner, though — he’s gonna give Mays a run for his money. Wagner’s with the Performance Enhancers, and the guy can do it all. But you know who’s sneaking in under the radar? King Kelly. This guy is on the Birmingham Shaq Barons, and you can’t ignore the dude’s charisma. He’s the perfect balance of talent and unpredictability. Not to mention, he’s got Fred Dunlap and Ted Williams on the same squad. Imagine the points he’s racking up on plays to make the crowd go wild!

Sal: King Kelly is the people's choice, but not enough for me to throw money at him. You know who I *will* toss a couple of bucks on? Nap Lajoie on Sithi of Osten Ard. He’s scrappy, reliable, and he’s going to put up insane contact numbers. Maybe he doesn’t have the flash of the Cobbs and the Ruths, but he’s got value.

Bill: True, true. But let’s talk Cy Young. We know the list is stacked. You’ve got the big four: Bob Gibson, Greg Maddux, Toad Ramsey, and Pedro Martinez. If I had to pick a favorite, I’d lean toward Gibson. He’s got that unbreakable presence on the mound, and he’s going to set the tone every time he’s out there for Sithi of Osten Ard.

Sal: Gibson’s a great pick, but for my money, I’m sticking with Ramsey. That knuckleball makes hitters look like they’re swatting flies out there. Plus, he’s got Pedro backing him up on the Pilots, which means he’ll get all the support he needs. Oh, and don’t think I haven’t noticed Eric Gagné. He’s a closer with Cy Young potential. How fun would that be, betting on a guy who only pitches an inning at a time?

Bill: Gagné’s got that shutdown ability, for sure. But don’t sleep on Old Hoss Radbourn with the Performance Enhancers. He’s got that rubber arm, throws more innings than anyone, and somehow still dominates every time he steps on the mound. He’s basically the definition of “reliable” out there.

Sal: All right, Billy, let’s go off-script for a second here. I’ve got a side bet for you: first player traded this season. I’m saying Salvador Perez from Burning Strangers of BLEACH?! is on the move. That team’s going to be an afterthought, and Salvy is just too good defensively to be sitting there while speedsters like Cobb and Henderson steal bases all season. They’ll get a decent haul for him.

Bill: Ooh, good one. I’ll take Randy Johnson. He’s stuck on a team that might need to start rebuilding by May, and honestly you might be able to get him for the low price of some nostalgic Dodgers in a trade. Plus, the right team might even throw in a meal at Denny’s and a couple of Vanilla Cokes for the Big Unit, just to sweeten the deal.

Sal: Love it. Here’s another side bet: who leads the league in triples? I’m putting my money on Oscar Charleston. He’s got power, speed, and smarts on the basepaths. The triples are there for the taking with him.

Bill: You know what? I’ll take that action, but I’m going with Wild Bill Wright from Amazings. That guy’s got speed to burn, and he’s fearless. And speaking of guys who could sneak into some unexpected awards… Steven Kwan on the Every City Bandwagoners. I’m not saying he’s gonna win MVP, but we both know the commissioner’s kids are in love with him. He could have a pretty magical season just because he’s got a bit of the league office behind him!

Sal: (Laughs) The Kwan love is real! I wouldn’t put it past him to pull off a couple of heroic plays. But look, we’ve got MVP, Cy Young, and some fun side bets locked down. Just one last thing: you know who I *wouldn’t* bet on for MVP but would love to see make a run? Rickey Henderson from Brand New Ballplayers. He’s probably not cracking that top list, but he’s gonna be a nightmare for pitchers and catchers with that speed.

Bill: Rickey would be incredible — just pure entertainment. But if you want a fun guy to keep an eye on, how about Arky Vaughan on Game of Throws? The guy’s already got an MVP to his name, and he’s as steady as they come. Not sure if he’s making MVP waves this year, but he’ll give pitchers fits.

Sal: So many possibilities, Billy. But I’m standing by my Mays-Ramsey parlay. It’s gonna happen.
