Just feeling nostalgic. And the old threads like this and this and this are old ones whose main post is cut off before it gets to the member lists etc. At one point we had an off-site backup on old school InvisionFree boards as well when there was concern that these were going to be shut down. But anyway, back when Legends was all there was, there was nonstop debate over whether or not it was canon, what parts were canon, etc. So the EUDF would work together to defend the books & comics against an equally coordinated basher attack on it all over the boards. Good times.

Apparently at that time I was a Security Officer as well as a Lieutenant Commander / Red 3.

Apparently I posted the next version after that - here. Unfortunately, I couldn't find an archive version with the complete first post. Skimming through, it looks like it died out around mid-2006 with an occasional group of posts every few months for a couple years of people just saying hey to one another.

The last posted roster was here at which time I was Vice Admiral. I've seen @Jedi Merkurian still around since I started lurking again and eventually got my account back. That's about it though from that group that I've seen so far.

 

I had a kangaroo burger for supper last night. Not bad, just a little gamey. It was sort of similar to venison.

 

I've always wanted to try that!

I used to go to an international market (Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati) to get alligator for our annual Tennessee vs Florida (Gators) eat your opponent's mascot tailgate party, but that was a couple hour drive and since then there's been places much closer to me in Indianapolis that have sold it, so I haven't had to go back there in a long time. Anyway, they also sold frozen kangaroo steaks, and I always considered buying some but they were pretty expensive even back then, so I'm sure the way food prices are these days they'd be insane.
