Here's Seeds of Darkness:

 

Those are good choices in that they probably don't violate canon (?), so they should still fit. I also suggest that Troops would be a great addition, among the older films. With newer films, it's tough to beat Darth Maul: Apprentice.

 

I'm doing more "canonical" types, since TROOPS is a parody (I love it though). By the way, I love your site! I've followed it for a while now!

I appreciate it. I've had the site for several years now, but haven't updated it in awhile. Mainly, I'm glad that it has hung on as a repository. It also saddens me greatly that so many films had been submitted to and hosted by Atom, and are now gone.

 

Phispace has got most of them (lost ones). By the way, could you advertise something for me?

 

I'm not sure if I can still get on there and make changes. The site is tied to an old email address that i don't have access to anymore

 

Additionally, what do you think of these fan films for Canon?

Oh well. Sorry to here that. I had noticed it wasn't updated. I enjoy your site alot, and has certainly been an eyeopener for me.

Back in 2020 I randomly found The Ancient Power on my desktop; I assume it was from you, since I didn't get much into this stuff until that year. I didn't know there was this many gems out there until my research into Reciprocity, which brought me to your library.

I will let you know. I set it up so that it would hopefully continue without just disappearing. So, no domain fees, etc. Which means it just sort of plugs along

 

What do you think of fan film as lore?

 

Not 100% sure i understand the question. If you mean what do i think of it as a medium in general, it's become a fantastic way for people to showcase abilities and ideas. I try to watch them to see what they might add to the subject. I also have to keep in mind that some makers are really good at one thing, and maybe so-so on others. Script, sound, acting, effects... it's tough for one person (or a handful) to be good at all of it. But something drives them to get out and tell or show their vision.

 

I know this says old fanfilms, but I saw a couple of recent ones I liked and think are worth recommending:

 

could we download all the videos and re-upload them to youtube? maybe make a channel called "Fanfilm Archive" or something like that?
