Hey @Dandelo! Just got home.

So, London. We stayed in a B&B that was Edward Lear's home. It was right near Speaker's Corner. We happened to be there the week there were protests against the Gulf War. One day we saw half of London march past our hotel. We saw signs that said, "Bush is a noodle and Blair is his poodle."

We tried to see a lot of theater because of day-of-show tickets. We saw Rent, The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged) and another minor show I can't remember. But the most memorable was seeing The Magic Flute at The Royal Opera House.

We did it on Valentines Day. We had just done Stonehenge and Avebury the night before, so Christa was really tired. I sent her back to the hotel to sleep and scouted where the Royal Opera House was.

I got lost in the Underground (confused Bow St with Bow Rd). When I corrected it I ended up at Waterloo station and was going to walk the rest of the way.

While exiting the station, I saw something incredible. A woman in full Showgirl getup walking out of a restaurant. There were new, Vegas-style casinos in London, so she was advertising them. She came out and was immediately wrapped in a blanket. She started changing clothes inside the blanket... in Waterloo station. For some strange reason, she was annoyed that people were watching. Go figure.

I finally got to the Opera House and had my marching orders for the next day when they sold day-of-show tickets.

This is getting kinda long, so I'll do a new post once you've read this one.
