Well you have a lot of power. One of my concerns was you might have had some cohesion issues earlier but that smoothed out rather well and I think you have a nice team here. Your covered on magic, power, creativity, tactics,resources. You covered all your bases. I could see this team doing very well in teams if it ever goes to teams. You should win a lot of matches, but with 1st round picks, that's to be expected. As to anyone to drop/change, I don't know a lot about Omni-man or Machine Man. I know enough about the rest. So just worry about defending those 2 and you shouldn't need to change your team at all.

A B++ seems more appropriate on further inspection of this team. My big concern as with any villian team is ego. Here you have Magneto and Magneto lite working with Apocalypse of all people. You have magic, you have power, strength, tactics etc. So you're in pretty good shape. Curt actually does help in combination with Magneto's scientific knowledge so you're pretty good. But I'm really perplexed on having Onslaught, Magneto and Polaris on the same team. If there were someone to drop and replace, I would say Polaris because I fail to see what he brings you that the others don't already bring.

I like this team. It's chock full of brains. Reed + Batman = Win in teams most of the time I think especially when factoring in the power cosmic and etrigan's magic. Add in Supergirl and Marvel and you are good to go. Cyclops is a great tactician, but I'd say Batman is better so if you are looking for someone to drop, he'd be on my list possibly Batgirl as well. Superskrull should not affect your team provided you defend him well. I know nothing about Allen the Alien so you'll have to defend him. But overall, some great picks.

At first glance last night I dropped you from a B+ to a B-. I think, upon closer inspection this team is definitely a B. Your first 2 are great. Orion is very good but better picks were still on the board. Atom is great, You have the best flash, Jean was a nice pick up as was powergirl and blink. Metamorpho has proven very useful in the last few drafts. My issue then is Drax I think. he sticks out in this team. Captain America is probably one of the best leaders so he's great for teams. Since you don't have a huge amount of scientists, I can buy Spider-Man, though I'd recommend dropping him if you find a better pick. Cannonball is good enough, but if you can find better go for it. I think this team could surprise me. It will depend on your numbers.

An interesting crew you have here. Cohesion is shot for many reasons but I think the individual potential of these top picks will make up for it. So throwing the idea of a "team" out the window and keeping in mind I automatically lowered your grade for not picking up LAZERS TO THE FACE Gladiator, I think this group will do well. I don't see it hitting teams much unless you get a really bad set of numbers. X-Man will get you a good amount of wins as will Hulk and Lobo. The Martian may hurt you on occasion but he should do well most of the time and he'll benefit you if you do end up in teams. I see you have the Mimic, Multiple Man trump and forge as well so that's good. I think you will need numbers in your favor to avoid teams, but if you can do that, you'll be fine.

The biggest thing going for you is a lot of these characters got more respect in previous drafts so we know how to judge them. The second thing is that none of these choices are bad cohesionwise. You have a good team here. Ion will be tough to argue in some cases and Superman is in trouble against the magic users and some of those who can access kryptonite, but good choices nonetheless. Cable may be your MVP here. I see you have the Darkness/Witchblade trump as well. You will do well if you make it to teams. It's all about the numbers for you I think.

Shadow_of_Durron:

This team could be the team to beat. It will certainly be tough with a top 5 like that. You've covered all your bases, you're only flaw is the one all villian teams suffer which is ego. But I don't think you have to worry about hitting teams, and even if you do, unless you are against the most cohesive team, you'll probably still win. I know nothing about Battle Beast so you'll have to argue that one if you hit teams.

Not the most cohesive team but darn close. And I say that only for the Namor and Aquaman arrogance. I don't think it will affect you in teams. Leadership you're covered with Xavier, you have the best sorceror, a great GL, and a lot of other good characters. The problem is that other teams have better so it may be a struggle for you to reach teams, but once there, you should do well.

 

Dr. Polaris? He doesn't bring anything new really. More power of course, but nothing new. I just want to argue for some more respect for him.

 

Well, I was going to get my Jaime respect post up first, but that can be handled later, since Machine Man was called out by name.


Well, at one point in time, Stack was deactivated. He stayed that way, until he merged with another cyborg, which was made up of an advanced sentinel robot, and some other cyborg, I don't know what it was called. Anyway, they merged, and X-51 became a beast.

Let's start with his classic stuff, since he still has all of that.

His abilities included interfacing with any computer system, powerful concussive blasts, flight(at least super-sonic), electrical currents which were powerful enough to power an entire town for a week, hypnotism(which worked against the Hulk), he could magnetize things, and he could reform, even after being completely dismembered by the Hulk(Back then it took slightly longer, like, a few panels), he had all kinds of scanners and sensors to detect almost anything, he was able to generate solar heat, which is the "stuff that suns are made of", teleport, he could manipulate his temperature to either extremely cold(absolute zero), or very hot(for instance, he once heated rocks, and then froze them, creating diamonds), his intelligence is amazing: he was able to create a dimensional doorway that altered time and space, and he can read several books in an instant.

So, that's all pretty neat, I guess, and I'd post scans, but I really don't feel like posting the classic scans, as it's his upgrades that are most impressive. So, he had his reformation before, but since merging, he's gotten a lot better. Why? Well, not only is it faster, but now, everytime he fixes himself, it stops whatever just hurt him from hurting him again.

Let's start with Vision trying to shut him down. No go. Heat vision? Denied.

Minch ought to like this part.

Who's feeling intense painz now?


You may have noticed those stupid cables plugged into the side of his head. Just pull them out, and he won't be able to operate anymore, right? No. Wrong.

Here he adapts to Firestar(microwave manipulation) and Justice's(telekinesis) powers.

He absorbs the energy from this satellite, and redirects it.


And, well, I guess that's it for now on the scans. I can put up more later. He easily reforms after being slashed by Wolverine. Kittie Pryde phases into him, and he recovers in half a heartbeat. Nightcrawler Bamfs his arm off, and he easily grows a new one. Mimic shoots him with his Cyclops powers, and he easily creates a shield designed specifically for that. He puts up another shield that deflects an EMP blast. The nanites in his body can duplicate themselves, actually increasing the mass in certain parts, or all, of his body. He recovers quickly from a blast from Bastion merged with Nimrod. Justice had ripped him apart before he adapted to TK, and he completely recovered in the next panel. As you saw against vision, if you read the page, his teleportation is now a lot more refined, and he can even shift out of reality for a second. He transported into space, too.

Now, at the time of all of the scans, X-51 was being controlled by the sentinel technology he had absorbed. So, that's why he was attacking all these Avengers and X-men. He later shakes off that programming, but is then being controlled by Bastion, when he fights Cable(Whose TK does absolutely nothin

 

i remember reading about machine man in that iron man annual back in the day.
he helped tony out with the terminus factor.
he was pretty cool.

 

Machine Man's stock went down after giving up his female body.

 

I can't wait to get this thing going. Can't hardly wait.
