    >>Is Dargulli in the Expansion Region or in the Inner Rim?<<

    Inner Rim.

    >>Is Thustra in the Mid Rim, or Aargonar's and Aquaris' locations changed since the Clone Wars map from Fact Files 139?<<

Thustra is in a thin slice of the Expansion Region, between Aquaris in the Inner Rim and Aargonar which is almost on the border between the Mid Rim and Expansion Region, though it's defintely still in the ER (and the "nearness" to the border could simply be a perspective/scale issue like some of these other planets).

Not explicitly, but the Republic first discovered the Jedi on Ossus, and didn't do so until they'd already been established there a while. With that location for Tython, the Jedi would literally have passed right by Coruscant.

I suppose it could be like the situation with the Daragons, where the hyperroute they used went straight from the Core to the Rim.

The reason Klasse Ephemora is not placed on Modi and Carty's maps is because the officials made a mistake in putting Mobus and K. E. as separate dots; K. Ephemora is the star Mobus orbits, so they are in the same system.

Merson's exact location is new, but the info it is in Stenness Node is NOT new, having previously been est. in HNN.

and may I add Orvax IV is the most obscure planet ever given official placement on the galactic map? For those not in the know, it is on this slaving world Snit was purchased...later known as Droopy McCool!

    ;)

    Now we have:

619 star systems placed on official galaxy maps (including sector maps)
1024 planets placed on official galaxy maps (including all the named planets from placed systems)

    Named planets:
    Wookieepedia______3728 (06.07.18)
    CUSWE___________3545 (06.07.18)
    Holocron__________3311 (05.05.24)

So about 29% of the named planets are placed on official galaxy maps and 0,0012% of the inhabited star systems are placed.

105 sectors are placed on the map (not including quadrants, expansions and Clusters) (106 with Belnar Sector)

    Named sectors:
    Wookieepedia______277 (06.07.18)
    CUSWE___________227 (06.07.18) (may include oversectors)
    Holocron__________???

38% of the named sectors are placed and 11% of all the sectors (there are ~1000 sectors overall)

Mobus is a planet in the Klasse Ephemora system, as Senator_Cilghal has already pointed out.
There is nothing new in the red squares, I don't want to make the Teta sector insert bigger, just to include Tython

Thanks. So they replaced Aargonar and Aquaris and I misplaced Thustra... On the previous maps they placed Aquaris in the Expansion Region and Aargonar was near the Perlemian.

I wasn't completely sure of the content since I was just directed here by Clighal. Didn't mean to sound like they were complete copies, as I was later explained the notable differences that you listed. As for adding them to the wiki, I will give all credit to you as creator and we will try to display them alongside Carty's the best we can, and in the cases of the areas not expanded on by Carty, add them to those particular region articles. Once again, did not say they were blatant copies, but rather alternate perspective, before the notification of all of the other goodies. MTFBWY. ;)

The comics specifially say Concord Dawn and Kiffar worlds are in Outer Rim.

The official map shows the former Mid Rim, the latter Inner Rim.

Should we regard the map as in error, or canonically overriding the comic info?

I ask especially for the sake of Wiki.

I guess some planets could be called outer rim worlds IU without beeing located there, to imply that the planets are considered backwaters and hard to get to.

Also consider 3-dimensional volume as opposed to the 2-D borders we're seeing

Is it possible to create an animated map, showing what governments controlled which sections of the galaxy over time?

Here is an example of the Roman Empire from Wikipedia:

I missed it... And then Trilon Sector is placed (so 107 sectors are placed)
I will recheck the locations of the new planets when I get an actual map. (Thustra)

Statistics about the galaxy (I made it for this thread):

and a picture about the coordinate system what I use on the map:

im confused how people actually GET this map.

Zaadja is a snowy CIS planet. (Republic)

Zaddja in Trilon Sector is a volcanic planet. (Crimson Empire)

I'm not sure which one this map shows, nor whether these 2 planets are the same somehow.

Could have been a snowy planet that had some dormant volcanic activity take over. Or simply enough variety in landscape featurs to accomodate a volcanic region and a snow tundra.

Modi, or Carty, would it be possible to get a list of all the mapped objects and their approximate coordinates (in any coordinate system)? I think Modi's planet index would do, but preferably something more precise (and updated). There is this little project I've been thinking about for some time...

It seems Zaddja and Zaadja were meant to be the same planet.

Nothing. The fact that we don't see ice caps on Zaddja in Crimson Empire doesn't mean that it hasn't got. Just look at Mars.

I'd rather not say at the moment, since I'm not sure it will work. It's meant for the Wooki though.

well I am glad to find out Zaadja = Zaddja. That always bugged me. Speaking of bugs (*groan*), wonder if there were still Geonosians living there in CE days?

L_H, for that to be true, we'd have to concede that planets can have more than one terrain type. Poppycock! Madness! How would the locals know what to wear?!?
