I was looking forward to the Kenobi show. I think Ewan and Hayden really did a great job and liked some of the side characters introduced. Where it seemed to fail is the writing and some of the creative decisions with the Inquisitors...Reva most of all.

Being a child who survived Order 66 in the Temple when Anakin was chopping everyone he came across up and the clones were shooting everyone 20 times.

    Knowing Anakin is Vader

"Killing" the GI? Anyone who watched Rebels knows he is not dead so not really all that shocking or meaningful.

Treating Leia (a 9 year old kid) like she is the mastermind behind the Hidden Path. What is she going to know?

Then we get to her "cunning plan"...she is going to kill Vader!!!! Good luck with that.

Then the GI shows up alive. OMG!!! I THOUGHT SHE KILLED HIM!!! But not really because I saw Rebels.

Then Vader and GI leave her alive. These guys have killed people for less than taking a shot at them. No way do I believe they just leave her there suffering.

Then she gets a hold of Obi Wan's lost cell phone and gets info about some random kid and decides to hunt him down. But after terrorizing a kid and his family she just can't hurt him...and we are what...supposed to love her now because she has learned the error of here ways and returned to the Light?

I was also looking forward to OWK and then when we got it we were lucky enough to actually get the best live action SW show that Disney has produced.

Vader literally put a lightsaber through her body. She was so insignificant to him that he didn't bother checking if she would survive or not.
There are dozens of Jedi that survived Order 66, and that's why they were hunt down by the Empire for a decade. But somehow her survival was problematic?
    Nothing wrong with that.
It wasn't supposed to be shocking. But I disagree about the meaningful part.
It was one of the few things that eventually showed us that Vader knew all along about Reva's plan.
And he toyed with her. Both meaningful and cool IMO.
Well that never happened. Leia was not the mastermind behind the Hidden Path, nor was she portrayed as such.

We are not supposed to love her no. But Star Wars is ultimately about hope.
We are supposed to see how a dark sider can be saved if you believe in them.
Why is this a problem? Should we want for her to be punished and murdered by Obi Wan instead?

I am talking about when Reva was interrogating Leia. She was acting like she thought Leia had all the answers because she was in one safe house.

And overall...they were just all over the place with Reva.

Literally just watched this a couple hours ago. Reva knows Leia was with Obi-Wan. She found the safe house, and then intercepted Leia running down a hidden tunnel away from it. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan evaded Vader's clutches with the help of a shooter and a droid. Leia is very clearly hiding something. She is cagey and giving defensive answers, and when things escalate, she literally screams, "I'll never tell you where they are!"

Reva wanted to know where Obi-Wan, the shooter, and the droid had gone; information that it's reasonable to assume Leia was privy to before everybody split up. She lies to Leia, telling her Obi-Wan is dead, to throw her off-balance and get her to reveal where they were planning on escaping to. That's all she's after.

It's also worth noting that Leia is Reva's only lead. Even without it being obvious that she's hiding something, Reva had to press her for everything she knew. And while this connection is never directly established in dialogue, Reva also knows that Leia's father Bail is a friend of the Jedi, and Obi-Wan in particular (it's why she was kidnapped in the first place) and so I wouldn't blame Reva for suspecting that the Path is an Organa family business.

Reva should know the Leia has no knowledge of the Path because she had her kidnapped and Leia has just encountered them. There is no rational reason whatsoever for anyone to think Leia knows anything about the Path other than that one safe house.

There is no rational reason for this discussion to take place in this thread.

...which is why Reva is asking Leia about where "they" (i.e. the people she was just with, the shooter and the droid who took Obi-Wan) went. She's not asking for a map or a management tree or even any names; she just wants to know where they were planning on running off to. She mentions the Path at the top of the discussion, but at no point does the interrogation become anything other than, "Where were they taking you?" because Reva is still laser-focused on finding Obi-Wan.

Edit: With apologies to @A Chorus of Disapproval for not noticing that last reply quick enough. Shutting up now.

This a big animation show not small time like Tales. And we know it wont be another Clone show as Dee Bradley Baker mentioned. So where do we see this. I think either a show with Ventress and see jedi post Bad Batch or Luke's Acedemy show that sets up the rise of the First Order. I think next show is more jedi focused. As we have switched between Jedi and non jedi shows with animation.

Jar Jar probably would work in a post ROTJ animation and be more welcomed then any live action appearance.

It not being a story about Clones is a good sign as they have focused largely on the Clones for too long now.

That said if they are now just hiring for it we are still probably years away from whatever it ends up being. Does that mean we will likely be getting more Tales series for the next three to four years?

Its been made for a time, now just official. I think we are one or two years away. Early 2026. We know they are 3 years ahead when we watch a season. And it wont be another Clone show for awhile according to Dee Bradley Baker. I think we get another Jedi show. Not had one in animation since Rebels or Clone Wars. With Ventress and the path or Luke's Acedemy show that sets up the rise of the First Order.

Agreed on Jedi focused story - Ventress/Omega story continuing from TCW/BB is my guess.

I will always adore the clones, but watching the Acolyte, it's clear there are soooo many more stories out there. There are stories that need to be told, some that would enhance stories already told, and better yet, something new. A mockumentary on how to find obtain a Sith Acolyte.

Star wars is build around fantasy and the mythology. And its not Harry Potter influence.
