Whether it works or not maybe questionable but I think its clear some marketing people THINK it works.

 

Yes its a reason why we get names or simple naming for shows

Ron Moore and Bo Katan (well her actor) talk about 40-50 scripts for Star Wars Underworld. They're in the vault somewhere dangit!



Moore full on had writer arguments with George Lucas about what or what not Darth Vader would do which he says was kind of amazing

 

Also, during those sessions, Ron Moore started the slow but inevitable process of turning into George Lucas.

Though Ron stood firm when it came to his mullet. He did not concede that to George.

Well here is a post from the leaks Reddit that some dude posted. As always take it with a grain of salt.

I've got the low-down on Celebration this year. They're going all-in on animation announcements since live-action is gonna be a little quiet.

• Flagship show: Star Wars Underworlds (yes, plural). Heavily inspired by George's original live-action show, but not an exact recreation. Premieres in August, 16 episodes.
  • Main plot is Asajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos rescuing Maul's 15-year-old nephew "Dae" from the Nightbrothers/Crimson Dawn and the fallout from that. He's described as very Damian Wayne.
  • Lots of tie-ins to other projects in little ways. Solo, Jedi Fallen Order, Outlaws, Book of Boba Fett, and of course Rebels.
  • Basically will fill in the blanks between Clone Wars and Rebels for the criminal underworld and Maul specifically, but that's not the main focus of the story. Asajj, Quinlan, Dae, and a droid are the leads. Maul, Crimson Dawn, and Dae's father + older brother are the main villains, with other key underworld appearances (I assume Hutts, Pykes, etc.)
• Tales of the [Blank] seasons 3 and 4 announced. They are "Tales of the Light Side" and "Tales of the Dark Side" respectively.
  • Light Side this fall. Dark Side next year.
  • Light Side's first short will be screened but I have no idea what it is.
• Star Wars Visions: Ronin's Path full series by Kamikaze Douga announced for next year, 8 episodes. Visions Volume 4 confirmed as well, but no date.
• Lucasfilm Animation is launching an open animation competition called "Skywalker Academy".
  • They'll talk a lot about how animation is easier than ever before to make in your own home. Calling on solo artists and small indie studios worldwide to submit 60-second Star Wars-themed animated shorts to the competition.
  • First round of Skywalker Academy shorts were created internally at Lucasfilm & ILM by younger/junior animators. Sort of like SparkShorts at Pixar.
• Launching same day as the panel at Celebration will be a dedicated Star Wars Animation YouTube channel
  • Will feature the internal Lucasfilm Skywalker Academy shorts, the new Tales short screened at Celebration, clips from all prior animated shows, select Visions shorts, animatics, and lots of new, original behind the scenes content from Lucasfilm Animation.
  • Finalists from the Skywalker Academy competition will be uploaded to the Star Wars Animation YT channel - with revenue shared 60/40 between the creators and Lucasfilm.
  • The creators of the top-performing shorts on the YT channel will then be given a larger budget and direct professional partnership with Lucasfilm to turn their 60-second shorts into fully produced, longer shorts to be featured as part of a future Visions volume.

 

I like the State Wars Underworld idea as a bridge between Clone Wars/Bad Batch and Rebels. And we know animation will want to do more with Assajj Ventress and Maul

 

All that sounds cool but it’s probably fake.

Come on, have a little faith in the reliability of “some dude on Reddit”.

 

I usually assume that the leaks are fake but its also interesting to see which ones somehow turn out real.

The Underworlds portion of it sounds the fakest of course. But it also oddly sounds like something they would do as a show but I guess you could view that as mild satire.

I think the The Skywalker Academy stuff helps give it a better sense of legitamacy but I'll believe it if it actually gets announced.

 

I would like to see an animated Rex Show to finally finish the Clones storyline or a Luke show at last

 

Lets get a big animation show like Clone Wars and instead of making spin offs. An Underworld series that deal with Maul, Ventress/The Path and the last of the clones story. Hope they make it big and it be the last animated show between ROTS and ANH. Its time for animation to go before TPM or in the OT or post ROTJ to the Sequels era.

I really do think the next show is Ventress and Quinlan

 

The Mandolorian and Grogu gets dumped on D+ at the very last minute. Like, people will be in the theaters waiting to see it, and an usher will come in saying "Um, sorry guys, this movie got pulled, split into multiple episodes, and is now on D+. You all have to leave now, or I'm calling the police"

 

Most likely, the voice actress even teased it. And i think they want to take a break away from the Clones like when Clone Wars ended and we got Rebels.

 

Kathleen Kennedy is personally going to roll up to the premiere with a chainsaw and a megaphone

I’m still reeling from 2005, when George ordered Dark Horse NOT to kill off Quinlan because they had future plans. This works as a continuation of both TCW and the 2000’s Republic comic series. They could even play it fast and loose enough to work as a pseudo continuation of Obsession at the same time, if they don’t adapt Dark Disciple as the pilot arc. Every single time there’s a Dark Times era project I expect Quinlan to show up, so I just want this to finally be tied up.

Also, I wonder if and when that happens, they’ll get a new actor to voice Quinlan. Maybe pull a stunt casting or get someone like Rahul Kohli to voice him and translate into live action.
