First the race, then the cookoff. I wonder if the pattern of jedi relaxing while the Nihil scheme against each other continues.

I hope next year we see a story arc in which Lula and Qort become dissatisfied with BUCKETS O' BLOOD's management of the event planning committee and create their own rival event planning committee, leading to dueling Life Day celebrations in which each Jedi is forced to decide which party they will attend.

So that's the vanguard eh? Interesting...wonder if the tubes on top are its laser cannon or the stick like speeders it carries?

lol this is exactly how I would write this character if given the chance

And yay, we got Porter Engle in two of the five stories! And with saber drawn in one of those!

And finally, I've found a Star Wars character who talks like I do in Crash. "Karkin' farkin' comm units!" Some days I have to really warp my usual language to get it past the filters on these here boards...

I must say the latest IDW High Republic Annual was pure gold, never enjoyed a comic anthology that much in a long time! characters spot on, dialogue too, wonderful different art styles! Pure win!

It was all so lovely, so well fitting and reminded me a lot of how great Legends was with characters, fun and investment. Kinda like Tales comics and Legacy or KOTOR comics, Union comic or other such gems it felt stylewise like.

In the cover image there, I wonder if Ro's weapon is his stolen lightsaber or just some pseudo lightsaber weapon he also has...it looks more like the latter, but I am not sure why he would use that when he has a real one.

Also, boy Zeen and Lula sure gotten close considering they only met around a year ago - particularly in that Lula calls Zeen her best friend over her fellow padawans she has known longer.

Plus, her being this whole psuedo-jedi is pretty interesting, I wonder if that will be developed more....

Well, that was a strange last issue, especially in view of Trail of Shadows #5 and Eye of the Storm #2 two-page preview.
Nevertheless, happy for Farzala and Qort, IMO, they are the best characters in this series.

So, as is already known, Ro managed to capture at least Jedi Master Obratuk Glii. I have a very bad feeling that Marchion is going to have a whole new collection of captured Jedi (including Farzala, Lula, the very lovable character that went missing in The Fallen Star and others) in his dungeon so that the prison break plot will happen in Phase III.

I was hoping to finish this series, but apparently it is no longer available digitally? ComiXology has merged with Amazon and I can’t find the series on the site.

Folks on Reddit are reporting that Panini has confirmed a September 7 release date in the UK for a Volume 3 TPB containing issues 9-13.

    Excellent news.

Now, any news on a Monster of Temple Peak trade?

It's also available for US folks via Amazon. Shipping will take a bit longer than usual, of course.

Thanks, I'm never quite sure as to how it works the other way round.

Also, the Panini trades are standard size.

Next month - Monster of Temple Peak!

Yep, volume 3 is out and widely available at WH Smith's. I found it in two Manchester stores this weekend. For anyone unsure, as said above, the Panini trades are the same size as Marvel trades. The quality is high as well. I really like the matt effect covers. Monster at Temple Peak to finally complete Phase 1 in physical format!

The size difference between IDW's Vols. 1 and 2 and Panini's Vol. 3 is going to drive me crazy... but better to have the collected edition than not. My copy is currently making its way across the pond.

Panini trades have been something of a secret for years. Their only flaw is they don't always stick with a series.
    Buy the Panini vols 1-2!

My copy of Panini's Vol. 3 TPB has arrived, and it is nice. Easily beats out both IDW and Marvel TPBs in terms of physical quality. Now I genuinely am tempted to upgrade my copies of Vol. 1 and 2, and am very much looking forward to Monster of Temple Peak.
