50 wins for the Yankees. Verdugo with a memorable return to Fenway. 4 RBIs. That will probably be a staple rerun in the next few years on YES.

The real answer might very well be Francisco Alvarez. They were 11-8 before he got hurt, 17-28 while he was out, and now 4-1 since he's been back.

    Amazing.

I was one of them! We watched the entire game from Caesar's Sportsbook Club because we were so comfortable

I hate seeing the Yankees lose a series to the Red Sox. But I can't complain much seeing as they have played for 2 weeks straight with no breaks against some very good teams. Last day off was June 3rd. The Red Sox at least had a rest day June 10th. Both teams actually had a rest day June 3rd so the Red Sox have had an extra one in that same stretch of time. MLB Scheduling!

I've been posting here too much so i'm going to take a break. I'm sure i'm starting to annoy some folks.

The Nationals are tied for the last NL Wild Card spot and have won eight of their last nine games.

This season is wild. If it ended today, the Phillies, the Dodgers, the Yankees, and the Guardians would be enjoying first round byes. And our wild-card matchups would be Atlanta vs. the Cardinals, the Brewers vs. the Padres, the Orioles vs. the Royals, and the Mariners vs. the Twins.

Just like everyone predicted: the two Central Divisions taking 3/6 available wild card slots.

There are nearly as many teams with winning records in the AL Central (3) as there are in the entire National League (4).

Alex Cora Says Red Sox Fans Need to Be 'Better' After Yankees Chants at Fenway Park

So apparently Cora was disheartened during this past weekend series with the Yankees in town at Fenway as the Sox fans allowed the "Lets go Yankees!" chants to go on nearly unmatched with the traditional, "Yankees s--ck!" responses.

It's interesting that Fenway has resorted to selling combo seats like many small market (and independent league) teams sometimes to to bring fans in; that include concession vouchers. I know the team isn't having a remarkable season, but I always thought the Sox fans would still be going to these games and they weren't just fair weather fans. Understandably (that this article doesn't seem to address), their basketball team could win the Championship soon enough so they'd rather be home to watch those games. But that doesn't excuse the late Summer months into the Fall.

Boston’s ownership group is actual trash. I can’t feel too bad though because, you know, it’s Boston

The Mets have the third worst record in the NL and are 1.5 games out of the 3rd WC (and 2 games out of the 2nd) and according to Fangraphs, they have a 25% chance of making the playoffs.

    Amazing.

What I find fascinating about the Mets and their current situation is that while they've been playing well recently and are still technically in the playoff hunt, rumors continue to circulate regarding where Alonso could wind up by the trade deadline. I'd imagine if the Mets were still holding their on in the WC race through that time, the fans would revolt if he were still traded away.

It's hard to believe this Rangers team won the World Series last year.

Suarez is going to need an armed guard tonight to exit the stadium, sheesh. Inside to Aaron Judge and nailed his hand. Hopefully for the sake of baseball at large he'll be fine with some rest. Doubt he's coming back tonight and he shouldn't out of abundance of caution

Of course they sent him back out... Boone isn't managing tonight, I doubt he would let this slide. This has me very anxious.

Now he's out. Grisham subbing. Grisham could use the outings.
