That was such as good episode! Maybe even my favorite episode of the show so far. I can't express how happy I am that we finally got a couple aliens in the spotlight! Every new character was great and I'm sooo happy none of them are dead. I'm calling it now that they're going to show up again in season 2.

The baby yoda scenes were both cute and heart racing. I literally got scared when the droid found him and jumped when the Mandalorian shot the droid from behind. Thouh, it was cute how Baby Yoda looked at his hand thinking that he had force crushed him or something.

and lol that Dave Filoni cameo. It felt like that scene was added in there at the end just for him but I'm not complaining.

Dave Filoni as an X-Wing pilot. [face_rofl]

That was really fun! We got some interesting background info on Mando and a group of characters who you know are gonna want revenge. I suspect we haven't seen the last of them. They probably won't return this season but I bet they'll be back sooner rather than later. Loved getting a glimpse at the New Republic and especially their version of the security droids. They were pretty cool!

That episode had some great cameos from Filoni, Chow and Famuyiwa but also Richard Ayoade, Matt Lanter and Mark Boone Jr.

Loved the episode a lot with a bit of world building, hints of Mando’s past and glimpses of the NR. A bit disappointed we didn’t get the Yoda species episode we thought we may get but this was great.

Additionally I know I said I thought he’d play a different type of character but Bill Burr as Bill Burr...I dug it. A lot.

    DAVE!!!
That was awesome!! Although the X-Wing iconography has been heavily overused by Disney since the acquisition, it managed to be a welcome surprise here.

The cameos in this episode were great! Matt Lanter was the first one I noticed, but the three directors at the end had me grinning like a loon.

Well it was fun. A nice visual treat.

The droid and gunship designs gave me a vague KOTOR vibe rather than an OT vibe. And kudos for having the goombahs to have a Jar Jar line.

Maybe I'm just used to Twileks like Hera Syndulla but I found the Twilek characterizations rather offputting. Felt like they were using that Twilek in the old Jedi Knight game as inspiration. These aren't supposed to be appealing characters, but I could have done without it.

Didn't recognize Matt Lanter at all - Dave Filoni was a fun surprise though. And his character's name is "Trapper Wolf", LOL.

It's not a deep episode and it stands out more for these fun references than anything else. At episode #6 of 8, it seems like the evidence is mounting that this show is a lot more episodic in nature than it seemed at first.

    7/10

How about when Mando stalked Mayfeld during the blinking/flashing lights...... and the horror strings in the mix.
Great choice to have Moss as Zero.

Ouch, this was for me the weakest episode of the season so far. I did not hate it, but quite a few things just ruined it for me, and I did not find it as excellent as the first 5. That complaint that some people have expressed, that this looks like Star Trek, Babylon 5 or something like that, hit me for the first time while watching this.

I loved the Clone Wars and Prequel references, but other than that I did not really like the plot. And the hissy Twi'lek with the fangs was a very bad idea.

Pretty cool that the three New Republic pilots were Famuwiya, Chow and Filoni xD

That episode felt almost like the set and droids were taken out of Dr. Who. Overall I enjoyed it though. The world building was the best part of the episode and getting a little back story was good.

Oh my god, I had no idea it was Moss when I saw it the first time. But I absolutely hear it now listening back. Shame that he's the only one of the crew that bit the dust. But that's what you get for threatening Baby Yoda and being a droid in a 1 parcsec radius of the Mando.

A Mando goes John Wick episode. Cool. I like that. Fun characters.

Oh ! Oh! Him! Flying an X-Wing! :) :). About time too.

This is the best show in the world right now. Forget the larger galactic story. This is just the story of Mando, and that’s all it should be. And as he gets on in his life, we only see glimpses of the larger conflict. Just on the edge of the canvass. The Imperial Remnant. Bounty Hunter politics. The Mandalorian renaissance. The New Republic presence. And as the seasons progress, all the larger stuff comes into sharper relief. But no need to rush into all that just yet. Keep season one small and focused. And then climb.

    And an absolute LOL to:

The main three directors - Dave, Rick and Deborah - as the X-wing pilots. Most viewers won’t know who they are, and it was very front and center for director cameos, but I absolutely loved it. And did anyone expect that we’d get so much New Republic stuff this season? A New Republic prison ship, New Republic prison droids, New Republic soldier guarding the ship, New Republic X-wing pilots with the blue and yellow helmets. I only wish the latter also had the New Republic X-wings we saw in Resistance, but this is much sooner after the Empire fell, so they may have simply been using a lot of Rebel Alliance vehicles and equipment. Anyway, I’m really happy with this show right now.

It wasn’t just Dave. It was all three of the main directors.

Dave Filoni, Rick Famuwiya and Deborah Chow as X-Wing pilots!

Don’t forget Clancy Brown as the Devaronian!

I loved this episode. The Mandalorian found a way out, and put his opponents behind bars, so to speak.
Whoever said this was the episode with the Yoda People...well, it serves you well to follow that idiot Jason Ward and his stupidity. I hate spoilers, and whether or not this happens in the show, I hope MSW and Jason Ward go suck an egg.

It was only reported as a possibility for this episode. There was never much certainty about it. I imagine we’ll see that in the season finale, maybe. And careful. JW is a user here, so your comment violates the TOS.

Even though he had a helmet on I felt that when that dude was playing with Mando's baby and he was seething with anger when the dude was playing around like he was gonna drop it.

Also Mando giving his baby boy his favorite toy with zero hesitation.

So episode aside I think it’s safe to say that it was NOT the Mandalorian that went back for Fennec Shand. So who?

"What's with the look?" Can't remember which scene it was, but that was priceless!
