I love the Imperial March JW recorded with the Vienna Philharmonic a few years ago. He said that he originally did not include it in the program, but the folks (in the brass section IIRC) in Vienna asked if they could please play it.

Also, I am too lazy to embed a link here. [face_monkey]

Gonna have to play some Rogue One music as the peak eclipse is approaching here in about half an hour. It's only going to be about 85% of totality though.

This guy's music needs to be worked into Star Wars projects somehow.
Help us, Ludwig, you're our only hope to recruit and collaborate with Eddie.
I can imagine an entire album with Luleo Primoc.

I’m here too. What shall we discuss?

does the music in Olga’s cantina count for Star Wars music in depth?

I can’t play a musical instrument…but! I own a nice keyboard and can play the theme to jaws. The shark theme and the end credits.

I’m better at the end credits.

My town is an infrequent parade town, and they all go right past my building. A couple hours ago, I could hear them approaching in the distance, but the instant I could make out what tune they were playing, they struck up the Star Wars main theme, followed by the Imperial March, which faded just as they went out of earshot.

[face_laugh] Knowing my luck, they'd have segued to a theme from a franchise I hate by the time I'd gotten my boots on.

I don't think I'd want that WITHOUT the choir. Kinda makes the piece so special!

I've been revisiting the Harry Potter world films recently. And my goodness, did I underestimate the Maestro. There are so many gems in these scores that I just never noticed. His motifs are so good, in fact, that even when another composer quotes them, the scene is magnified just that much.

"The Quidditch Match" is probably my favorite piece of JW from the series.

One of my favorite pieces of JW

It would be blasphemous to say it literally represents the power of God, but boy is it the closest human illustration of the concept I've seen.
