I was there for game two of that last series and it wasn't fun. Hopefully we see better results this go around. Given that we are a better team now than then (in my opinion anyway) and this Celtics team is vastly inferior to the one we played back then I think we should be OK. All bets are off next round though, especially if we have to play the Bulls. They still scare me for some reason.

i think inty's right that lebron won't win the mvp, but i think he absolutely still is the mvp. look at the heat without him. notice how nobody talks about how disappointing they were even though they have "two superstars". lebron carried that team, but people used the "had to team up with two superstars" thing to discredit him. i hope steph wins, but lebron is still the best player in the league.

should be a fun playoffs. i feel like it's really up for grabs, but if i had to pick someone i would take the defending camps. the spurs have pretty much flown under the radar all year, but they have the poise, experience and coaching to defend their title.

The Spurs are the favorite in my opinion. Not by much. But, I think the big thing is Kawhi Leonard. His versatile defense. He can pretty much disrupt any wing player and force you to win a series relying much more heavily on a plan B. What teams with their best player a wing player (Golden State, Houston, Cleveland) that are contenders can really feel good about their second best player carrying them to a series victory? Maybe Golden State. But, Golden State if they have an off night shooting, can drop a game when they otherwise outplay an opponent.

Conveniently enough, the Clippers' best players aren't wing players. I think the Clippers are the team that's best suited to taking out the Spurs.

Spurs man, fell in love with those guys the past few years. Clips series should be exciting, and if/when Cleveland gets bounced I'm all behind 'em (let's not even entertain the thought of...yeah let's just not entertain that).

    Meanwhile...

    lollll

And did anyone see Shawn Marion's dunkalicious end to the Cavs regular season in OT? BECAUSE I JUST LINKED TO IT AND YOU SHOULD. Awesome way to end the final regular season of a 2k legend and highlight how much fun this team is having. And how much I've fallen in love with them too.

The dunk was so-so... he kind of just glides it in.

Was watching that game (from home, I don't go to games anymore) and it was Marion's steal that led to the dunk that I loved. It was a completely meaningless game for both teams that went into overtime and that steal/dunk sealed the win for the Cavs ending the season on a really high note for them and the fans. Great way to go into the post season.

    Masterfully played, Lloyd.

Anyway, my 1st round predictions that nobody asked for!:

    East

Washington/Toronto... Toronto in 6. I'd prefer them to take the next step this season, because Washington still has Paul Pierce. :p

Milwaukee/Chicago... Chicago in 5. STAY HEALTHY, ROSE.

Boston/Cleveland... Cleveland in 5. Why couldn't the Lakers had a season like the Celtics?

Brooklyn/Atlanta... Atlanta in 6. I look forward to some nice stuff from Rembert Browne on Twitter during this series.

    West

San Antonio/Clippers... L.A. in 6. A game 7 of this series would occur the same night of Mayweather/Pacquiao. That CAN'T HAPPEN.

Dallas/Houston... Houston in 7, because Harden ought to be a co-MVP's with Curry, but that's not going to happen.

New Orleans/Golden State... Warriors in 5. The time will come for a deep Anthony Davis playoff run, but not this year.

Memphis/Portland... Memphis in 6. Why not?

Pretty happy the Milwaukee Bucks made the playoffs. I will be happy for at least 1win vs the Bulls, but I still give them a chance to win the series.

    Homer pick via dp4m.

I like the colors, and like the switch from a 8 pointer to a 12 pointer.

No offense, but the purple years were just horrible.

I do like having the state logo.

All in all new ownership new concepts. I get it and accept it.
Sorry about your Lakers. Darth Tunes

Having Rob Sacre & Rajon Rondo on the same team next season is going to provide plenty of comedy for the Lakers.

    3-0

And, Kevin Love looking like a legitimate third superstar. For, perhaps, the first time since the first quarter against the Knicks.

He picked a great time to come around. :p Time to stick a fork in the Celtics, they're done.
