The open transports looked a lot like the open AT-TE cargo walker in Empire TPB 3

    Yeah, forgot about those.

We don't have it yet, but TUCWS should be getting the bios on the Clone Commanders seen in the movie up online shortly.

Like AdmiralWes said, it does look a lot like the transports from Empire...

    [image=http://img141.echo.cx/img141/6509/empire163ed.jpg]

but even there, it wasn't named, just an AT-TE variant, like the others have said.

Hey fellas, I just updated the Commander list:

Commander Cody - CC-2224 (Squad Seven, Utapau, under Obi-Wan Kenobi) [legion]

unknown Commander (Utapau, under Kenobi) [legion]

Commander Bly - CC-5052 (327th Star Corps, Felucia, under Aayla Secura) [legion]

Commander Gree - CC-1004 (41st Elite Corps, Kashyyyk, under Yoda) [legion] (camo armor) - look like imperial Scout Troopers, just with camo armor

Commander Neyo (Saleucami, under Stass Allie) [legion](apart from the red symbol no other markings) - look like Clone Assassins, but no vibrosword and other colors

Commander Bacara - CC-1138 (Galactic Marines, Mygeeto, under Ki-Adi Mundi) [legion] (purple chest plates, helmet and kama, grey armor) - look like imperial Snow Troopers, just with this purple stuff

Commander Thire - CC-4477 (Shock Troopers, Coruscant) [legion] (red Curuscant markings)

Commander Appo - CC-1119 (501st Legion, under Anakin Skywalker) [legion]

    Any things I forgot?

    EDIT:
I don't know if he was metioned in this thread before, but here is Commander Dox from Republic 64:

In the script, Odd Ball's squad is referred to as Clone Fight Squad Seven (and could possibly be amended to Clone Fighter Squad Seven) which would help avoid confusion with Cody's commando Squad Seven.

Oh, and as someone asked earlier, the speeders seen with the AT-TE cargo walkers on Felucia are swamp speeders, or Infantry Support Platforms. They were added in the Wookiee World Databank update.

The only Republic vehicle I don't have a name for (other than an official designation for the AT-TE variant) is the boxy, tank-like vessel that gets destroyed by a tri-droid on Mygeeto. Anyone know?

I edited the stuff with Squad Seven, but until we know more, that should be enough I guess.

Sry, I've no idea, but I don't think it was a Tri-Droid that destroyed it. Remeber those droids on Coruscant in the Clone Wars Serues, who Mace Windu killed? I guess it was such a droid.

They are tri-droids. Though the OS refers to them as 'Octuptarra droids', the CW droids are the same as the tri-droids created for RotS. The name was originally used to designate the new droid fighters, but these are now known as droid tri-fighters.

    Ah, ok...
My fault, I mixed 'em up. But imo it's more important to know what Republic vessels are there :D

Has anyone come across an image of said tank-things? I only glimpsed them briefly while watching the film, so I'd like to take a closer look.

Hello to everyone this is my first post on the boards and i have been following the arc thread from the beginning.

I have made some observations on the vehicles used in ROTS. The tanks on mygetto with ki-adi-mundi look like AT-TEs without their legs instead they use a repulsorlift method. And the ones on Felucia the open topped ones look like a long legged version of the AT-TE except that they have eight legs not six, and they sport a much longer narrower cockpit.

Tis a rather cool vehicle, and oddly enough it appears to be part of the Open Circle...

Damn, I really need to know what excatly the Open Circle Armada is...
Is it the whole fleet, or only the one above Coruscant?

It's the armada commanded by Kenobi and Skywalker, so I don't think it's the entire Republic Navy. However, the armada does contain at least Five Fleets (probably Sector Fleets) going by the RotS ICS (the markings on the rear fins of Venator Star Destroyers designate it's fleet; the Star Destroyers in RotS bear Fifth Fleet markings). The Open Circle armada also contains Home Fleet Strike Groups comprised of Carrack and Dreadnaught cruisers, and Clone Fight Squads comprised of ARC-170 and V-wing fighters.

    Ah thx for the info.
But what has it to do with Kashyyyk, Mygeeto or Felucia?

Since ships of the Fifth Fleet defend Coruscant, I assume the other sector fleets are stationed at Kashyyyk, Mygeeto etc. I don't know why certain ground-based vehicles display the Open Circle emblem, since it's apparently only a naval force. But I guess whatever vehicles transported by Open Circle ships fall under its command. Star Destroyers carry walkers and gunships, so perhaps vehicles are assigned to certain groups and legions, and marked and coloured as such, just as troops are?

I wouldn't count that emblem (you mean this, don't you: [image=http://img292.echo.cx/img292/6514/unknownlogo25hy.jpg]) only as Open Circle emblem, more like the emblem of ALL Republic forces. Jedi Starfighter have it (also the Jedi Bendu emblem, I know), every Republic vessel and so on...

Not the emblem I was referring to. See the RotS Incredible Cross-Sections book. It's two half-circles in yellow and red (hence 'Open Circle') painted on everything from Venators to Jedi Interceptors, and some ground vehicles as well. The ICS states this emblem is the heraldic symbol awarded to Kenobi and Skywalker's fleet.

EDIT: Here's the Republic Army/Jedi emblem I think you were trying to post, and here's the Open Circle emblem.

Ya, I know, the color is wrong...
Here it is in proper colors (I just created it, might be not excatly proper, but I guess good enough^^):

That is definately the fleet emblem. The spoked symbol Palpatine will later deface is used on Army vehicles, as well as Jedi vessels.

Here the best pic of the 2nd battalion soldiers in the background you can get:

    EDIT:
One thing I ever wondered about: what are those grey marked clones on Coruscant, when Yoda meets Tarfful there?
here a pic of it: [image=http://img230.echo.cx/img230/3138/greyclones9te.jpg]

and here a pic of Odd Ball, where you can see his markings (dark yellow^^)

    EDIT 2:
    Galactic Marines:

Again, you can just see the Open Circle symbol on the side of the hover tank.

"One thing I ever wondered about: what are those grey marked clones on Coruscant, when Yoda meets Tarfful there?"

They're just regular infantry-clones. The marked clones are more like elites, or part of a Spec Ops squad (the 501st are described as Spec Ops troopers). I'm more interested in why Tarfful is on Coruscant anyway. Prior to the movie, he's with the Republic commandos, so when does he leave Kashyyyk, and more to the point, why? He only heads straight back again, and the Wookiees have representatives on Coruscant to pass on any messages.

Thanks for those pictures, man they look nothing like I remembered...I think thats because I focused purely on Baccara. They're so damned cool though, but I guess Mygeeto deffintly isnt an actual snow planet, because you wouldnt wear red on a snow planet.

"Prior to the movie, he's with the Republic commandos, so when does he leave Kashyyyk, and more to the point, why? He only heads straight back again, and the Wookiees have representatives on Coruscant to pass on any messages."

Perhaps so he can brief Yoda, Gree, Luminara etc on the way, to save time. Now Im imagining a Wookie giving a birefing, good stuff.
