Well, Loo-Mia and Loo-Mya sound very different....if it were spelled "Lumyia" then yes, I'd agree with the audiobook, but since it is "Lumiya" I use the other one (Mia).....

I also use that one because it's quicker, when you say it, it basically turns into Loom-yah, which is short, quick and I like :p

What about Talon Karrde? Is it TAY-LON CARD, TAY-LON CARD-AY, OR (short a) TAL-ON CARD, TAL-ON CARD-AY? I pronounce it TAL-ON CARD, since his ship is WILD KARRDE(card). But Kun is koon, gun is guhn. Mara is Mar-uh, Mario is MAR-EE-OH, not MARE-UH and MARE-EE-OH. But, on the other hand, Leia is LAY-UH. When you arrive in Hawaii you recieve a lei (LAY), hence the pun "i got Lei'd(laid) in Hawaii!". But in Asia Lei = Lee. But you can't use the spelling of one word to justify another because there are words like tomb, comb, and bomb. all spelled the same but have diff't pronunciations. My cousin's wife is weird like that, her name was pronounced SHARE-EE for years, now its SHIRR-EE or SURE_EE. Damned english language!!! IDK, guess it's just PO-TAY-TOH PO-TAH-TOH and depends on the author who created the characters and their dialect from whatever region they're from.

I know this one seems relatively straight forward, but I was wondering if you all could help me with the pronunciation of Terentatek. It's been a while since I've played KOTOR and I can't remember how they pronounce it, so I was wondering if someone could help point me to where the stresses are in the word.

I think Leia actually uses Lando's pronunciation once or twice.

And Talon Karrde is correctly pronounced Talon (like a bird has) Card (as in playing card), although I pronounce his last name Cardé (he could be one of Padmé's handmaidens! :p )

And Mara is like the Kara in Kara Thrace....

    Well, I suppose it's pronounced how it's written.... Teren-tatek....

The reason I ask is I have an actor in a project I'm working on with the pronunciation of both 'te-REN-ta-tek' and 'teren-TA-tek'

I'm still not convinced "Koon" for Exar Kun isn't a stupid mistake, given without an umlaut there's nothing to give the "u" an "oo" sound. Gun, run, fun, sun, bun - all don't have an "oo" sound, so there's no reason to assume "Kun" would.

I'd say K'kruhk is pronounced like 'Truck' with a bit of an extra 'k' at the beginning.

As well, Nihilus is "Nigh-hill-us" I believe

If it's anything like "nihilism" then it would be closer to "Kneel-us"

    I say Kuh-Krook for K'Kruhk, but I suspect that's wrong.

And for C'Baoth, Kah-boh-th (but I think the official pronunciation is see-bah-oth).

Ew. Grapes. Say it ain't so. [face_sick]

Mara is a Hebrew name, so I've always used the Hebrew pronounciation. Pretty sure that's also the correct one.
