Yeah, but you just need to remember that he didn't grow up with any sort of Jedi mentor. He's had to learn with his own devices what is acceptable.

Anyway... here's some more guys! :D

Jason Freedle was sitting at his desk in the main area of the police station when Police Chief, Perry Whiteman came charging in the door. In his wake were a pair of officers who were leading what looked to be two walking piles of paper into the holding cells. Perry paused outside the door and glanced around the room, his eyes falling on Jason.

"Freedle," he barked, sounding like a drill sergeant. "These men look familiar to you?"

Jason shook his head, getting to his feet. "No, sir."

"These are the Drake brothers. We've been searching for these guys for the past month or so," Whiteman's gruff voice boomed.

Jason nodded. "Oh," he gulped, knowing what was coming next.

"You and Gardly were on duty last night.? It was not a question.

"Yes sir," Jason affirmed, preparing himself for the worst.

"You were the officers sent to catch those two," Whiteman said, pointing an accusing finger, and squinting his eyes up. "Do you know where we found them?"

Jason shook his head. "I'm sure I don't, sir."

Whiteman let out a loud chuckle, patting Jason on the back so hard it almost knocked him over. "They were on the door step, just outside. Covered in wrapping paper and handcuffed to the railing."

Jason let out a sigh of relief. So he wasn't in trouble after all. "How'd they get there?" he asked, barely regaining his composure.

"Some guy who calls himself lightening-man I guess. He left a card. You ever heard of him?" Whiteman asked.

"No sir, I haven't," Jason said, his voice filled with scepticism. "Did you say he gift wrapped them? And left a card?"

Whiteman chuckled again. "Yeah, sounds like quite the character. Whoever the guy is, he's obviously friendly to the city," Whiteman said, tossing a black piece of paper that was folded in half. "Here, take a look at this."

Jason caught it and opened it. Inside, scrawled in blue writing was this:
When I saw these two, I thought of you and just had to bring them by. No need to thank me.
    -Lightning-Man

"Lightning-Man? Sounds like something from a comic book," Jason mused.

"Well keep your eye out. I want to find this hero and thank him myself," Whiteman said, turning and stalking out of the room.

Jason just shook his head. Somehow, he had a bad feeling about this.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but family just moved about a week ago, and we've only now gotten our internet set up.

But anywho....Lightning-Man, huh?? Interesting. Wonder what his parents think about it....or if they even know...

This story is off to a great start. I can't wait to read more! :)

Sorry, I know it was short... but important none the less. ;)

Not a problem, I definitely understand when RL gets in the way. :)

Thanks so much! It's nice of you guys to keep reading this. I am not sure whether I should continue posting here or not though, because I seem to have a lack of very much readership. I guess I'll have to see what happens, I dunno. I'm feeling sort of unmotivated right now I guess.

Please continue this story - It's very interesting and I wanna read the next part of it. As for lack of readers, I don't post remarks to the stories I've read unless I've got something to comment on. There probably other readers who are interested in the story but didn't have anything to say.

    lol. You're great, sabers. hehe.

Think of any superhero you know... aren't all their names just as cheesy? Anyway, when I originally named him, I had planned on a different angle than the one I actually decided to use, and the name fit quite well... but then I changed it. Anyway, so the name stands I am afraid. :D

I appreciate that. But if I post and I have no physical evidence that it's actually being read, then I go beserk! Even if you have nothing to sat, just post a '.' or something... anything to show that it is being read! I am silly like that. But I think most authors would agree. I dunno. Anyway, I am glad you guys still are liking it... here's another post!

    *Yavin IV*

Luke Skywalker arose early, and quietly crept from his quarters. When he reached the outside of the main temple, the sky was a soft, periwinkle blue, which was already changing into a yellowish hew around the eastern horizon. He found a path and followed it for about a half hour- until he was well away from the temple. There was something that had been troubling him for the past couple of days - something that would not let him sleep. He needed to be alone and to meditate.

A small way down the path he found a clearing hidden quite well by the surrounding trees. There he stopped and rested on a flat rock. He crossed his legs and sat for a time closing his eyes. All around him the jungle's life was beginning to awaken. Early birds began their cheerful chirping to greet the morning. He could feel small animals scurrying along the jungle floor on their way to find breakfast. Tiny insects buzzed around the flowers, beginning their days work of pollination. Feeling the serenity which nature always seemed to initiate, he began to breath more deeply.

Soon he began to concentrate on broadening his field of vision. He was able to sense the surrounding planetary systems and the creatures that populated them. Each was a tiny pinpoint of light. But what he was searching for would not be presented as a point of light - but of dark.

It had come to him first in a dream. Something dimming, and becoming black as night. He knew that it was far away from Yavin, but that didn?t mean it would always be. Whatever it was, it could not be ignored. Ever since his first vision, it had remained ever present in the darkest recesses of his mind.

Luke opened his eyes as one of his students approached. The sun shown brightly around her form as she stopped before him. He was amazed at how the time had passed. The sun had now fully risen.

"Master Skywalker? Is that you?" she asked, her long, curly blonde hair bouncing behind her head in a ponytail.

"Good morning, Maeryn," he greeted cheerfully, climbing to his feet. So much for being alone.

"We?re starting breakfast in the mess hall," she informed him. "We didn't want to start without you,? she finished with a respectful bow.

Luke smiled. "Alright, I'll be along in a minute. You go on ahead."

Maeryn nodded, and then disappeared back down the path.

Luke shook his head as he watched her go. Ever since the girl had come to the academy, he had found it hard to find a moment alone. She didn't want to do anything unless Luke was around. It didn?t necessarily bother him, but it did make him wonder. She had only just begun her training in the Force, and she seemed almost afraid to be alone. Luke did not know a great deal about the girl?s past, but he knew she?d confide in him with time.

    Each student traveled at th

Night had cast its cold shadow over the crowded city of Keropolis, leaving a blanket of dark velvet sky to cover the horizon, and then adorn it with tiny pinpoints of starlight. On top of one of the highest buildings in the city sat a dark, quiet, and obscure figure. He was leaning against a ledge, gazing up at the night sky, standing so still that he was barely visible in the dark shroud of night.

Ever since he could remember, the stars had always fascinated Justin. As a young boy it had been his dream to one day become an astronaut so that he could visit each of the them. But as he had continued to grow and develop, the reality of such a fantasy had diminished into nothing more than a fool?s fantasy. For one thing, NASA still did not have the technology for space travel, other than sending a man to the moon, of course. But going to the moon would not have been enough for Justin.

Perhaps he would settle for what life on Earth had to offer him. He had told himself that many times, but no matter how often he consoled himself with that logic, it never managed to sink in. Somewhere in the dark recesses of his mind, he knew there was something more for him out there. He didn't know how he knew, but something was just always there, whispering things he did not yet understand. Perhaps it had something to do with his powers. No one, not even his own parents could explain to him where they stemmed from. At least with most comic book heroes he had read about, their powers had come from being bitten by a spider, or through toxic mutations. These powers he possessed had simply always been there, he'd just had to discover how to use them.

Abruptly, the hairs on Justin's skin stood on end, and a chill ran up his spine. He whipped around to meet the intruder, but found nothing except the thick darkness of night on the building top to greet him.

He frowned. He could have sworn he'd felt something. He closed his eyes, concentrating on the area surrounding him. There was nobody. Justin had experienced similar feelings before, but he wasn't sure yet how to interpret it. It was as if he was being warned of something that was coming. Whether the something was a what, or a who Justin didn't know. But he felt as though whatever it was, it was going to be happening soon. A dark feeling of dread began to settle into the pit of his stomach and he felt as though he were suddenly having to gasp for breath. But just as suddenly as it had come, the feeling left him, and he was able to relax again.

He had told no one of the feelings he had been having, not even his parents. He did not want to worry them. But he was starting to feel that perhaps telling them was the only way he could seek answers to the puzzling questions he was beginning to have. They had to know more than they were letting on. He knew there was a reason he had these strange powers. If his parents could not tell him, then perhaps they might know someone who would.

Surely there must be someone out there who knew who he truly was.

Justin Lawrence, knocked once before opening the door to his parent's home. He had moved out four years ago to go to college in the city, but he always made time in his busy week to visit his parents. "Mom, dad?" he called as he stepped into the living room.

"I'm in the kitchen!" his mother?s musical voice answered.

Justin smiled as the aroma of fresh baked cookies reached his senses. He grinned and made his way into the kitchen. Once inside, he paused a moment, just watching his mother, wearing a blue, cotton apron with a lacy trimming. His mother was as close to the old time ?Leave it to Beaver? mom types as they came. Her hair was pulled back into a tight bun, with the loose hairs tucked neatly behind her ears. She c

    Allright, a new post!!! [face_dancing]

Justin chuckled to himself as he bit into the cookie. Abruptly he stiffened, then got up and hurried to the sink, spitting out the cookie.

[face_laugh] But who can honestly resist freshly baked cookies?? I know I can't!! :D

He needed to find this Darren, for he feared the results of his ignorance could make for serious consequences in the short time to come.

Dun dun dunnnnnnnn!!!! I love the suspense! But will he find Darren??? And if he does...how much does he really know? He doesn't know whose clone Jason is, does he?

    Can't wait for more!!
