?No Jaina, I?m not. It?s been two years since these children entered the Academy, and now they are too old and too advanced to spend all of their time in the crèche. Now as young Jedi Knights you have the opportunity to be role models for these future knights as well as their instructors. Don?t worry, you will not be their only instructors. You will serve as more of a small group leader. There will be times when you will be away on missions, but otherwise, you will meet every day, at least once a day, to serve as the children?s instructors.?

?Master Skywalker, do you think that we are ready for this kind of responsibility?? Tenel Ka asked.

?Yes, I do. You have all proven yourselves as knights, and besides, these children have grown up a little since you last dealt with them, just as you have.?

?But no one else had to do this when they graduated,? Jacen whined.

?You are correct Jacen, but we have never before had such a young group of students before.?

Jaina opened her mouth to make another comment when Luke cut her off, ?Jaina, there is to be no more debate. I have made my decision. With this class of young ones moving up, we can accept more young students, and we already have seven new children coming tomorrow. Miriam, would you bring in the children??

Kinda like the senior members of the beta club asking if the president of the club needed to wear rubber gloves (like the sergical ones) so that he doesn't get all dirty, 'cause the juniors are nasty.

That was quite good. I feel sorry for the YJK, having to teach to waist-huggers.

 

Hmm. The YJK might not be looking forward to this, but I'm sure that the waist huggers are. Espcialy Pyto, since Tenel Ka is coming.

I feel sorry for the YJK. For some odd reason I doubt that Pyto got any better...

Janson might not be a Jedi Master, but he is certainly a Master of the Prankside and it was that mastery I was thinking of.

I suppose the alternative to having to look after the waisthuggers would be to leave the Jedi Order so that you would no longer be eligible to instruct them and so Master Skywalker would no longer be able to give you orders. Given their past experiences this was probably a close decision.

I feel sorry for the YJK though. From my experience waisthuggers can be even more obnoxious to have to try to look after than kneehuggers. It does depend on the child though, some grow out of their behaviour but others just get worse.

ThrawnRocks, would you really want to be taught by older kids that had to watch you when you were a little kid? Yeah, I guess so since we know how easily fooled the YJK are.

JM, come on, he got one-upped by a girl, and no, I'm not talking about Jaina. Yeah, that is a tough choice... leave the order or face those kids again. Which will they choose?

Hang on, Pyto is based on Typo, so... Nope it'll take more than two years for him to mature.

 

Considering that Typo's 20 now... yeah... it'll take a lot of time.

Yikes, Jaina as a role model for children. A scary thought. Wait, no that would be Wes being a role model for anybody.

Miriam left the room to find the children and bring them in. The newly knighted young Jedi looked at their master with looks of disdain.

Miriam led in a group of fifteen children whose ages ranged from six to ten, with Jodi being the youngest and Cerena the oldest. To the young knights horror they discovered that Pyto, Krit, Kuati, and Kyrie were still students. Wren, Mipcy, Vegg, Gemma, Hati, Jim, Gebi, Tana, and the newest student, Kale entered. (Newest was relative considering he had been training at the Academy for a year and a half already.)

?Hello children. Do you know why you?re here?? Luke asked the children.

?Cause you wanted to escape diaper duty?? Pyto snickered as he implied that Luke was escaping the newest little one at the Academy, his son.

?No, I am not escaping Ben. You are all here because you have out grown your status as children of the crèche. Tomorrow you will start as official students at the Academy, complete with classes and work. To help you adjust to these new situations we have put you into groups of five, and each group will have two of our newest knights to be your instructors and mentors. Do you have any questions??

None of the kids said anything. They just stared at Master Skywalker waiting for him to go on.

?The green group will be lead by Jacen and Zekk. Kyrie, Krit, Wren, Mipcy and Vegg make up the green group.? Kyrie looked sadly at her best friend Kuati as they realized that they wouldn?t be in the same group. Pyto and Krit looked equally upset, but Pyto somehow maintained a look of complete confidence.

?Jaina and Tahiri are in charge of the blue group. Pyto, Kuati, Cerena, Jodi, and Kale will make up this group.? Kuati, Cerena, and Jodi looked happily at each other, but they all groaned when they heard that they would be in the same group as Pyto. Jaina groaned louder than those three combined because she was perfectly aware of what those children were capable.

?Tenel Ka and Anakin are in charge of the red group. Hati, Jim, Gemma, Gebi, and Tana compose the final group. Knights, please take your group to a part of the Temple and get to know your new group. Have fun everyone.?
