Memph, TN The Rendezvous- The Official Social Thread of the Memphis Fan Force

Hi,

I live in the Memphis area and I'm a Star Wars fan. I have been since I saw what we now know as A New Hope at a drive-in theater in 1977. I loved Star Wars as a kid, but as I grew, my fandom cooled a little. Then the Prequel Trilogy was released and the excitement came back (yes, I do like the PT, but not more than the OT). Now I'm a bigger fan than I ever was as a kid. I can't seem to get enough Star Wars.
I found the Memphis Fan Force and was wondering if I could and/or how I could join your group.

Where and when is this party?

The family and I will be occupied this weekend, but I'm not yet sure if our activities will begin on Friday or Saturday. So, I may be able to make it to the party, depending on when it is.

BTW, gang- I was on Fox13's Good Morning Memphis this morning. Derric Curran interviewed me about airbrushing, and Nicki's Vader "Sith Happens" painting was shown, and I wore my SMT jersey.

 

Bleh. It's gray and wet out today. I feel like I'm in England.

And didn't they say that the county is out of sand/salt for the streets?

It has been an odd winter so far...

No sand/snow... here's hoping you guys make it...

This. I'm sick of being cold.

 

No wonder the streets were worse yesterday than the previous two snows.

It's like I said in JCC... We're on our third snow of 2011 here in the South, with over two inches. The apocalypse is coming, people.

Kelly has been a Shipping Clerk for about 8 years.

I'm looking for Clerical, Retail Sales, Business Analyst, or Entry Level Accounting/Payroll Positions.

It may not be ideal, but at some point any money coming in is ideal I guess... but Office Depot on Germantown is hiring. I saw where Target at Trinity and Germantown is hiring as well.

Reminds me of a time when my other half had itchy feet and was looking at house on the web.

For some reason she stumbles on a massive house half a continent away, but jeez it looked good.

I thought what the hell, rang the agent listed and boy was she friendly!! Couldn't talk enough about what a beautiful place it was and how lucky we'd be to get it and she was sure it suited us perfectly blah-de-blah-de-blah.

I asked the price and she said, quite brightly I might add, "Three point three million"

"Oh....."

"What sort of price range were you looking at?"

"About the point three"


She couldn't get off the phone fast enough!
