Just saw Part 1 again in IMAX last night, completely full theater, not much vocalization during the movie itself but people cheered and clapped for Denis and were VERY vocal during the scene from Part 2 they showed.

I think Part 2 is gonna be much more bombastic and much more action focused than Part 1. That might get it more draw and more eyeballs overall. Gonna try to go to a special fan screening event on 2/25.

 

I mean, it just looks like a butthole to me.

That was the joke. People were making that joke without explicitly saying it, but now, you’ve brought sunlight to that dark space, and all is vulgarly exposed. Basically, you’ve ruined everything.

The Feb 25 early IMAX screening in Chicago is already completely sold out except for the front row.

 

I assume even those tickets would cost approximately one actual human arm, preferably fresh. Maybe two if scalpers get to them first.

 

Is Dune 2 going to wrap up the story or will there be a 3? Or maybe even a 4?

Part Two wraps up the plot of the novel Dune. If Part Two does well Villeneuve wants to do a third film based on the first sequel novel, Dune Messiah. Both scenarios would result in logical endpoints for audiences. Every book after that is such an increasingly weird, hard to sell assembly of thrown in concepts that it becomes likewise increasingly difficult to imagine a film occurring.
