Well macro- and microbiotic world taken literally :p

Chandrila didn't make the cut.. its embassy or star line got an entry but not the planet.

Mon Cala got a quarter page only with standard text. Nothing special.

I'm curious if the Citizen's fleet gets an entry. Ditto the New Republic Defense Force.

Nope, the book does not cover organisations, governments or such. Only characters, creatures, ships and locations. Other categories are sadly omitted and I agree should be in there. But they are not.

Palpatines entry is one full page early on, but I did not see anything beyond the usual retelling of what we already know. Not even interesting wording or such. Lots of pictures, texts kept short.

First Brother? Really? Sorry, but the TOTE and Ahsoka fiasco is just...too much.

Which just means Ahsoka left and rejoined the Rebellion at a later date, or was undercover in TotJ.

This released in the UK today and I should VERY MUCH APPRECIATE it if anyone who gets this would send me the Palpatine, Exegol, and Final Order/Sith Eternal entries

(We don’t get it here in the States for another 10 days or so)

There isn’t anything new whatsoever sequel era wise, save that Snoke apparently named himself.

IIRC that's from The Rise of Kylo Ren when discussing Ben choosing his new name. It does seem to confirm that Snoke was directly created as a potential host body for Palpatine that didn't work out, which I think has only been vaguely implied previously.

But yes, the sequels already got plenty of expanded development in their own Visual Dictionaries et al, so not much room for new details here aside from a few new species names. The main stuff is locating new planets from Bad Batch, Young Jedi Adventures, and other sources, and model names for droids and ships seems to be the main avenue of new material here.

From my brief read, there is no Acolyte content, and I spied a few sector placements which I believe are new, but otherwise one error?

    1. Scipio is in the Core and the Albarrio Sector.
    2. Anaxes is in the Outer Rim and Azure Sector.
    3. Zeffo in the Kanz Sector.
    4. Guavian Space is in the Meram Sector.
    5. Arcana is in the Lahara Sector.
    6. Seatos confirmed in Denab in Sluis sector.
    7. Ferrix is in the Morlana system in the Free Trade Sector of the Outer Rim.

Scipio was originally placed in the Core by Essential Atlas before it was revised. Pretty much everything else has reconfirmed it's in Albarrio, Outer Rim, but this and Ultimate SW erroneously use the old Core placement.

Azure sector has seemingly migrated to the Outer Rim with Anaxes itself.

Jakku's sector is said to be "Western Reaches", which isn't a sector, and that Takodana's region is "Mid Rim and Western Reaches", so there's an issue of categorization there. Carida is said to be "region Core" and "sector Colonies", which makes no sense; it's in the Colonies region, no sector placement.

A few other potential issues depending on exactly where sector lines are drawn in canon, but mostly the placements seem correct.

Interestingly, Skara Nal is placed in the same sector as Zeffo; the tech looks heavily inspired by Zeffo, but the book doesn't make any explicit connection, so that placement might be an implicit nod to that idea.

    * Shaak Ti is confirmed to be killed by Vader in the Temple (not sure if this was already confirmed).

    * Oppo survived Order 66? Is that new?

    * Beckett’s kill of Aurra Sing suggested that it didn’t happen.

    * Sixth Brother’s death isn’t detailed.

    * Very cool mention of the E-wing in the Poe comics.

    * First Order light cruiser confirmed to carry 24 TIEs and can dock with the Resurgent.

    * TIE Striker’s do have space capacity.

    * TIE Echelon given an entry, ditto the First Order TIE Brute.

All in all, it’s good fun, nothing tremendous, but it is an encyclopaedia so not designed to confirm new data usually.

Oppo Rancisis was confirmed as a survivor of the purge on a holographic list in the Darth Vader 2017 series. Since then, there has been nothing, but it does seem that he survived quite a few years after the purge. Coleman Kcaj was also on the list, but was confirmed dead in Kenobi.

I heard that the MC95 cruiser got an entry BUT that they made an error and put a picture of the Resistance B-wing next to it. [face_laugh]

Does the MC75 entry reference the submodels we see in TROS?

The Grand Inquisitor is NOT First Brother? Fascinating.

Scorch gets a basic entry that recaps his early Bad Batch appearance on Daro.

The entries are next to each other, but are correctly pictured. The MC95 is just said to be built on the success of the MC80 and 85. Profundity, Home One, MC80, and Raddus get entries but don't mention other models.

A couple of other fun references I noticed:
Doctor Quadpaw from Andor is a Jillsarian from Legends, which I can only assume is the work of a Pablo deep-cut pull.

G-90, the big spherical droid from Darth Vader 2020, is made by Jayosbrand, an unexpectedly fun reference to everyone's favorite floating Jedi potato.

I was lowkey hoping for an MC90 reference… 99% sure it exists in some form.

So having seen a copy in Nottingham (for £35) I have some observations.

Everything is done by categories, and not really alphabetical - so that can get a bit confusing. There's a large High Republic section, but not too much new info - or new ship info.

Pretty much every planet appears, often with sector listed - but other times it's a lot more rough and ready, with just a 'region' listed, or even scantier.
Milvayne is confirmed as a city planet (which sadly sinks some old headcanon of mine, of it as a Yorkshire-esque agricultural world - Mill, Vane, get it?)

Ship info is often sparse - lengths are often stated, but often very rounded down or to relatively 'whole' numbers of feet.
Not too much on High Republic ships. The Arquitens is briefly looked at - the Maxima-A class, not at all.

And some old errors creep in - like the wrong length for the Hammerhead Corvette, at 315 metres.
The Taylander-shuttle is again also said to be smaller than the Ghost (despite looking over 60 m in many shots)

There's also a large section on weapons and items and tools, which is pretty neat. Characters also get varyingly long entries.

Overall - an unessential purchase, as I see it - but will likely float other people's Naboo waterspeeder...

The gap in the numbering certainly implies its existence.

Similarly, I can't help but feel there are t-75 and t-80 x-wings out there, somewhere.
