The Grand Sith Empire takes the galaxy with the surrender of Coruscant, a puppet Chancellor ruling in our stead. The Dark Lord is conscious that the Jedi, shattered and divided, scatter to the rim, and the True Empire and Galactic Alliance will inevitably resist our dominion. He tasks his apprentice with keeping the enemy off-balance until our rule is secure, conscious that the Grand Sith Empire is, for now, weak - it will take time to secure their new territories in truth. With that in mind, what would you do?

Here are my thoughts, my Lord.

Propaganda would be one avenue to fully explore. A full scale assault of critiques, true or otherwise, doesn't matter, that further pitted the Galactic Alliance against the True Empire would be step one. Convincing as many members of the Alliance, from high ranking to low level officials, that their problems were due in large part, if not solely, to the actions and policies of the True Empire would create greater unrest.

Staying on message, constantly repeating lies, the more outrageous the better, and flooding the hoi polloi with these falsehoods would inevitably put great pressure on the bureaucracy and hopefully lead to defection. Counting on the ubiquitous stupidity of the masses never ceases to fail in causing discord and chaos.
To which we then promote ourselves as the only answer and path to stability and prosperity. In short, we must indoctrinate them.

Economic pressure would dovetail with the use of propaganda. Make the people suffer where it hurts. Their pocketbooks.
Create treaties and economic arrangements that benefit only the select few, while draining the masses of their wealth. This all must be done in such a way as to make it appear to be the fault of the Galactic Alliance and the True Empire, while we skim as much revenue as possible. Economic recession and turmoil would lead to more defections and chaos to which we again present ourselves as the only solution. This should begin the process of dismantling the Alliance from within, if not weakening it greatly.

As for the True Empire, we must infiltrate their ranks and sabotage their operations from within. This will require deploying many well trained assassins who do not fear death, but rather desire their bonds be broken in service to the Dark Lord. This phase is obviously more difficult, as it will necessitate the possible sacrifice of valuable members, highly trained in the dark side of the Force. But it is the only way to guarantee that our infiltrators will remain undetected by other Force sensitives in the True Empire.

And lastly, we must use force to remove those who aren't susceptible to these prior tactics. As inconspicously as possible, of course, but those who adamantly oppose us must be eliminated without mercy. I volunteer to see to these executions personally where applicable.

As for the origin of the word Darth, I was under the assumption it meant "Dark Father." In looking into it further, I learned of the Rakata who ruled over an empire in ancient times. Their word for "Emperor" is Daritha.

To your point, 'Darth Vader' is supposed to mean 'Dark Father'. From there we can extrapolate that association between 'Dark' and 'Darth'.

Yes, translating the Master is fun, one quarter portion of the fun, the other three quarter portion is wondering if one will survive. That's as it should be. Agreed, my Lord.

I present a "brief cadence," chosen quickly mind you, that hopefully will provide Sithly musical entertainment, at least for the moment.


I've translated it into basic, with a few of my own, corrections, as it were.

Day of wrath, that day will dissolve the planet in ashes as Insipid and Syren bear witness. How dread will tremble and grow, when the Sith come with saber and scale to weigh the faults and sort the fates of all!
