I think the format would suit him.

ETA: My deepest apologies. I missed the opportunity to insist that Matt Damon’s Star Wars movie be called Woostah Wo’as.

Knives Out and Glass Onion are both really great. But what TV shows has he rolled out lately?

He’s working on a show called poker face , I think it’s another who dun it. And yeah I mean I don’t want to see him return to star wars but a series would probs cause less waves than a movie.

Got it. Thanks. But how has Fred seen Poker Face already? It hasn’t been released yet.

You know who has been putting out some great TV recently? Whoever is directing My Three Sons.

Two episodes, one of which was excellent and one of which was (IMO) the most boring episode of the entire series. But that show was so much driven by its writing (which he didn't do for these episodes) and its oversight by the show runners, that I don't really see why directors of individual episodes of it should get too much credit or blame.

I haven't seen Glass Onion yet, but I really liked Knives Out. That said, it's his only movie that I've seen that I liked.
Totally agreed with this. I'd prefer he never touches SW again, but a Disney+ series would be a lot less contentious than a movie or movies.

Anyone who doesn't think "Fly" is a masterclass in how to turn a bottle episode into 45 minutes of compelling, thematically rich television is objectively wrong. Sorry, @EHT, I don't make the rules here.

Let’s talk about the director of Kojack. He just keeps churning out hit after hit. And Telly Savalas has been dead for thirty years! Genius.

    I just had a thought:

What if this supposed post-TRoS film takes place far in the future and only features Rey, Kylo, etc. as ghosts or in hologram cameos and such? I could honestly see something like that being the case.

They could call the movie something simple like New Jedi Order, since they’ve already shown that they’re not afraid to recycle old EU titles.

EDIT: should’ve posted this in the Lindelof thread. Sorry.

The de-aging has come along way in so short time. Future movies and tv shows will make it all feel real.

Well Luke there is a face replacement, not deaging.

Really the question isn’t whether they can do an entire film with a deaged cast eventually (I’m not sure whether it’s cost effective at the moment, but it will be eventually) it’s whether someone is creatively willing to do it. A lot of creative people would bristle at the idea of an entire movie where their main characters faces have been digitally altered.

The smart ass remarks about "Mando Luke" really need to die in a fire.

This is how technology works. You start somewhere, and you improve over time. You get better by learning from the previous attempts. It's a process, not an instant destination.

I'll say it's a creative bore that's a product of the writing rather than the technological limitations. ILM's finest achievement is actually their work on Leia in TROS.
