I only hear it occasionally, around Halloween when the local DJs get a bit silly.

You don't expect Kayn to be anonymous, do you? I don't think he's capable of anonymity.

 

Unless they can find another unit to hire them, this may be the end of Mover's and Gonky's careers as fighter pilots. I remember my fini flight in the Herk, it was June 28 2009.

 

I wasn't aware either one of them was still flying military aircraft? I guess I misunderstood. Unfortunate if that's the case...

 

I just lost a hero, and so did the world. Colonel Gail Halvorsen, the world-famous Berlin Airlift 'Candy Bomber' pilot, a legend in the airlift community. When the Soviets blockaded Berlin in 1948-49 and cargo planes were all that were keeping the Berliners from starving and freezing, he supplemented the incoming supplies by using handkerchiefs to improvise little parachutes to airdrop candy to the German children.

A pilot I flew with in Iraq met him once and had a chance to ask him a question: What advice do you have for young leaders today who may be struggling to make a difference that matters? He said, “Don, be the hope no one ever expected would come and then watch how that inspires others around you…and be grateful no matter what!”
