Holy crap has it really been 20 years? I remember first posting here a looooong time ago and then got recruited for the outerrimsieges.com (run by a dashing young man that went by the handle "Ewok That Cried"). Then I proceeded to get banned here daily (by Strillo mostly lol!) for trolling the threads to try and boost membership over at the ORS. We used to see how many times we could get banned from here as a contest lol! I've grown up quite a bit since then. I remember the biggest SW feud over there was whether Palpatine allowed Mace Windu to win the duel on purpose in ROTS, and the 2nd biggest was whether Jedi generate Sith lightning. That place was pretty salty...I kinda miss it lol! Does anybody remember that website? Or the posters that frequented it? Whatever happened to that place?
all i remember about the outer rim sieges is that they tried to lure people with the promise of "cutting edge animated gifs" and it apparently worked on connemara. well we all know how that turned out. comic cover credit: @jp-30
Why not? Is admitting I trolled a board 13 years ago, but never since somehow offensive? Or maybe I was just feeling nostalgic about it. Or maybe I was curious what happened to all the posters that went from here to there. Or maybe I just don't give a ****. Probably all of the above I imagine.
I don't know if you guys trolled JCC (so I guess that might have not been very good trolling) but the legend of that hilariously lame and overeager recruiting message ("pay no attention to the obvious lack of Star Wars decor!") has endured, giving us tens of inside jokes that still get posted to this day.
