Technically we don't really know what day Jesus was born on...someone just came up with December 25th to celebrate his birth.

 

Yep. I think last time I actually looked this up general consensus is he was born sometime in the spring. But I think he olden Christian’s wanted to take over the pagan end of year festivals they held. So we got Christmas in December

edit: lol I was looking this up on google and under the more results section one of the other searches was “was Jesus born on September 11th” what?

 

He was born on January 6th.

 

"September 11th was the day Jesus died for our sins" (3rd grader)

How lots of religions sons of God's. Deities* and such are born on December 25th. Something to do with the sun right? Doesn't do a weird thing like it delays its movement so slightly you can't tell with the human eye?

I'll tell you what Christianity means to me, a non-christian. A family of seven, a single mother fleeing domestic violence and her six kids, who stay at my shelter, tested positive for covid today, so they all have to quarantine until Saturday. They are confined to one small room (all seven of them). @solojones has adopted this family. She is having supplies to keep the kids and mom occupied while in quarantine delivered to the shelter tomorrow morning. This is Christianity, to me.

You spend nearly every day helping people in need. The least I can do is join in once in a while.
