Seeing the Binary Sunset to start the Hero's Journey and then see it again as the Saga and our journey ends 4-6, 1-3 is the only satisfactory way to see that imo.

The entire Saga is full of things that are specifically designed to be 'visual echoes', and the Binary Sunset scenes in RotS and ANH are two of those things. It doesn't matter that they occur subsequently because their purpose is still the same.

An artist may always remain the foremost authority on the creation of their art, but once it's released they are not at liberty to determine the way it's interpreted any more so than you or I are. Their ideas may be informative or compelling but they are in no way correct or prescriptive. The person who only likes aotc and watches it over and over again is no less correct a viewer than the fan who enjoys a 1-6 order. The idea that an artist can create work, 20 years later create more and then claim to be able to determine the way in which people should interpret the works in relation to each other is frankly preposterous.

In the immortal words of Captain Malcolm Reynolds, "my days of taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle".

Your statement is the only thing that's preposterous here.

    So to summarize your argument:

    You're wrong. You're wrong. You're preposterous.

To paraphrase the immortal words of William Shakespeare: Methinks you protest too much.

Stating that the things you keep arguing are wrong and/or preposterous doesn't amount to me 'protesting too much' by any stretch of the imagination because my statements in that regard are backed up by facts.

The idea that the creator(s) of any given work lose(s) their right to assert their own personal authority in determining the correct way for audiences to experience that work the moment they release said work for public consumption is a blatant fallacy.

You're free to ignore the official Star Wars Viewing Order, but you make yourself look and sound ridiculous when you try and claim that said official order doesn't actually exist or that Lucas didn't have the right to establish said official order.

When Lucas has changed his own movies 10,000 times already, its kind of hard to take him seriously.
