What does UDDS stand for??

Is it something along the lines of United Defence and Death Service?? Nice little trailer there mate. Which one were you?

Not to sure how much of a threat the aliens posed though? They seemed to be a bunch of blown up latex gloves??? Which ranks them up there with Tribbles as the least threatening and dangerous alien species.

Not sure if I should post here.
Born in england but I am mainly Welsh.
Parents were mainly Welsh and so I always tell people I am Welsh.
Does that count?

 

My dad's dad was Welsh and I post here. Came over on the boat he did

 

Sure does Jedi Jimbo. We're so desperate for new members that we are willing to accept anyone as being Welsh. Even if they have only ever seen How Green Was My Valley? Or listend to a Tom Jones song once. Hell we even admited a guy a while back as Welsh on the grounds that his grandfather once ate Welsh Lamb!

A little known fact, is that I am part Welsh....albeit only a quarter. The other 3 quarters being Scottish, Irish and........ Austrian.

I'm 1/2 Scot, 7/16 Englsih and 1/16 Welsh.

And I can pronounce Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwwllllantysiliogogogoch

I'm probably the only person in Wiltshire who can pronounce any of them. My dad has problems enough with Llanelli, and he's always working there.

 

Does he pronounce it Lan-eley?

What bugs me is when people (usually Americans to be fair), pronounce Llewellyn - Lew-Helen.

I mean, what the hell??

 

no, he gets the Llan bit right, but then he says Eely instead of Ethli.

What I think is weird though, is when I say them by saying the Ll by blowing the air out of either side of my tongue, like you're meant to, and it sounds vaguely like C, everyone goes around and says: Klanelli. They still can't do the ethli bit.
