ST What don't you want to see in Episode 7?

Opening credits

 

• over-use of CGI characters
• over-use of CGI sets
• too much allusion to PT or OT
• as much as I love Thrawn trilogy, nothing from that trilogy

 

Space. There's entirely too much space in these movies and I'm sick of it. Really, isn't it becoming a bit of a cliche at this point? Let's have some fresh ideas. Space has been done to death.

 

I feel the same way about time! I've totally seen way too much of it.

 

-Ewok/JJ Binks-type of character
-Resurrection and/or dead characters playing major roles as force ghosts (small roles as force ghosts are OK)
-A story about one of Luke's Padawans turning to the dark side (we've seen that story already...)
-Too much repetition from anything in the OT or PT, or too much focus on old characters/storylines without enough development of new ones

Edit- As far as the romance goes, I am fine with it if it is well done, and necessary for the story (which in the end should NOT be based in romance overall). I also DON'T want it to be Jedi romance. AOTC had a reason to be a romance because of what that episode needed to portray (whether we like the WAY it was portrayed or not) for the story.

This is awesome, always loved it.. Spin-offs could be partially this sort of thing.

 

There are also too many stars and too many wars in these movies.

 

Yup.

 

Yeah, the title basically spoils the whole series.

 

Not to mention misleading! There was never a war conducted on a star! A few planets, yes, but never a Star war. There goes my childhood again...

 

I don't like space. It's dark, and empty, and endless, and it goes on forever.

Space is big. Really big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mindbogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s a long way down the road to the chemist’s, but that’s just peanuts to space.

 

Well, you are going to see the mother of a Skywalker/Solo child, who will likely be a MILF.

 

I don't want to see costume changes for every scene, a la Padme. Unnecessary.

 

Whatever you want to see, that's what I don't want to see. And that's the way I see it, no doubt about it.

I've sat here and thought about this question for about 5 min. and can't think of anythiing. Once I get a general idea of where the script is headed I'll be able to answer. Well something that just popped into my head is that I could do without any force ghost. To be honest it's something that has always irritaded me.

To be more clear there should probably be atleast one convo just to keep the continuity of the saga but I'd rather it be a voice in the force users head (kind of a mix between reality and imagination or even remembrance left for the viewer to interpret) rather than an actual sit down tea party with the dead.

Of course there are many levels to this kind of communication through out the saga now and even being a primary OT fan I didn't care to see OB1 or others in physical form after E4. Then they brought the Qui Gon thing into it when they made the PT which made it more believable but I like it more subtle as in E4. Run Luke run. Use the force, etc, etc. Voice in the head.

 

YOU CAN'T HAVE ME

 

I want to see costume changes for every scene like Padme. Loved it.

 

I don't want to see anything from the EU. And, frankly, I damned tired of Tattooine.

 

I don't want to see the movie end. I want it to go on in a continuous loop, so I never leave the theater.

 

I can't believe I didn't think of that in my post. For Christ's sake, the idea of having that planet again in the ST is as dry as the planet itself. Enough already.
