    I hate my name-
Clare Rhiannon, it makes me sound American.

    Sounds pretty Welsh to me?

Still, at least you don't sound like a Chav. :(

So what name would you have then if you could pick?

Yeah but the whole two name thing, sounds American...
    :p
It's why I generally call myself just Clare, or Rhiannon... Mostly Rhiannon. But I hate it when people pronounce that wrong....
    Gah. Stupid people.

I work with a woman named Rhianydd, and she goes mental when people call her Rhiannon.

See what you mean about the 2 name thing though, it is very American.

What's really funny is trying to get American's to pronounce Welsh words and place names. It freaks them out big time.

Try getting a Yank to say "Blaenllechau".

It's like that scene out of Scanners where that guys head explodes.

I suppose it was either Clare or Blodwen...
    :p
My dad's English, so I think as a way to make sure it wasn't biased he used an English (well actually Irish...) first name to block out the Welshness...
I still prefer the Welsh name, I might have it changed by deed poll.
No one can ever say Clare correctly.
I'm forever being called "Cluh" which is annoying.

Hope not Mr Darkside. You know I was going to be called Ben too, after my Grandfather. But instead they went with Wayne, after.......

    Uhmmm.

Well no-one really, which doesn't really make much sense.

CE is being held in the ExCel convention centre in London docklands. FF-UK will have a representation there, we hope to have a table shared with the other European chapters of Fan Force.

Check here for more info - http://boards.theforce.net/fanforce_star_wars_celebration_europe/b10764/

FF-UK also has a smaller planning thread here - http://boards.theforce.net/uk_regional_forum/b10027/24430913/p1/

    It's gonna be a blast :D
