Yes! Happy birthday, Hayden, thank you for Anakin Skywalker, you played great!

I believe that the date of birth also applies to the character.
And I really like to realize that Anakin/Vader and I have the same zodiac sign - we are both Aries... more accurately banthas.

I know! Like, the expression on the mask literally never changes, but you still totally know the difference between thoughtful Vader and 100% done Vader.

 

The feeling of expression also comes down to posture and the tilt of his head.

 

This is most apparent just at the moment before he grabs the Emperor in ROTJ. He looks directly at Luke, then at the Emperor, and then when he turns again his head is tilted at an angle that suggests anguish and compassion for his son. Very well done.

 

I remember when I was younger I thought this was one of the coolest Star Wars comic book covers I've ever seen at the time. I do rather miss the Empire series of comics and it's continuation, Rebellion, wasn't to shabby either.

 

I'd like to see more content from Vader's Castle. Whether that be during Vader's life or after it. How long he spent there, what he was doing and what state it's in now. That's probably the favourite thing that emerged from the Disney era from my point of view. Because it's something brand new, making the character even darker and complex. His home being where he was burned, and reborn. So awesome.

Amazing how Rogue One's Vader content is as good as anything from TESB. They nailed it. Has the same mystique for me.

One of my favourite moments from the comics: Vader burning the the J-Type Nubian, a symbol from his past. Corrupting it to become more like his current self. So darkly awesome.

 

I was re-reading Dark Visions volume 3 and I have never been so personally called out by a comic.

I wanted to lie down after reading this part. Honestly, this series of comics is the most unsuccessful. If Lord Vader was surrounded by the people depicted in these comics, it is not surprising why he is always so vicious. It's morons, tantrums and psychos...

The fanaticism of the nurse is understandable - it is difficult to resist such a tall, gloomy, strong and domineering man! - but portrayed quite crazy.
