I need to catch up with that series, I've only got the first volume or two (can't be assed to go look at my book shelf and I get confused between the different recent Vader comic runs).

Not a huge Aphra fan, but in this context I agree that she is better. I still won't ever ship it, though.

Seeing Mustafar reminds me. I went to Rogue One in theaters for one reason: to see Lord Vader's castle. I was sorta meh about seeing it until I heard the castle was in there. I'd heard so much about his castle for so many years, but then being able to actually see it on screen!... I could have left right then if my family wasn't with me. I'm glad I didn't though, so I could see that sweet battle at the end.

 

Agreed I loved it too.

I like how feels like some medieval castle that would not feel out of place in Mordor. The whole building process of it in the Fortress Vader arc from Charles Soule's Vader run was brilliant. I especially love this panel.



Building his fortress on Mustafar was also a brilliant touch. One I think Legends would have done after ROTS if it wasn't already set in stone Vader's castle was originally on Vjun in the old canon.

Not going to lie I still have a fondness for Vader's original Legends castle, especially when I got to explore it in the video game Jedi Academy. Best level in the whole game IMO.

 

The best, most fascinating villain pairing in history.

Absolutely, lots of great moments in that comic... oh, and that bit about Momin´s helmet being placed on a lava flea always gets a laugh out of me. Its the kind of dark humour that works really well with our Sith Lord, I feel!
