There were rumors about making a series about Dr. Aphra. And this means - Lord Vader again will please us with his appearance on the screen! Although I am not fan of Aphra, she betrayed Lord Vader and her tastes are unacceptable for me, but all same sake of Lord Vader on the screen I am ready to accept such serial! Apparently, Disney+ decided to definitely please us! It is a pity that Aphra did not remain such what she was in the beginning of comics - fan of Vader. Very sorry... But these words I can still remember how the quote for all Lord Vader's fangirls.

 

That could be an interesting espiecally if they tap into the whole ancient artifact hunting aspect of the character. Of course an appearance of Vader, even if it's just a cameo, would definitely be wonderful and would be a given seeing how closely linked the two character's are. Speaking of which I need to finally get to reading those Aphra comics as I've heard there quite good.

 

Any of you checked Vader Immortal #3? Its the end of the VR game story on Mustafar...

Lord Vader is foiled in his attempts to bring back Padmé to life by the lowly smuggler he semi-trained in the Force (the player). Sure our Lord prevails in single combat, as it should be, but it was sad to me to see him empty handed, even if we knew he would. I imagine this was a fantastic experience to those who where able to actually play the game, but the idea of a more collaborative effort with our Dark Lord would be so incredible... TIE Fighter accomplished this in great style, I hope we get another chance soon!

 

Interesting. How did they reconcile it with the comic storyline?

There Padme simply rejects him, which to me was a very satisfying conclusion to the story.

loved the Vader appearance, reminding me a lot of his Rogue One appearance in that he's almost a horror monster.
The look on the second sister's face, a look of horror, as Vader approaches really told you all you need to know on the chances of the main characters facing Vader. They escaped but it's clear that they just barely survived the encounter nevertheless.

 

Oh, this comic's picture is one of my favorites. In this comic the drawings are simply magnificent, especially Lord Vader... He has a chic exterior!

I really like the scene in the Jedi Chamber, where Vader punches the holograms of these smug *******s who do what they want and hide everything forever.

 

I love moments behind the scenes! It is always a pleasure to see Lord Vader in new poses and moments. But my favorite is his constant pose of folded arms (picture above). Really like a doggie. From this and fun (cute pose) and sad (not for nothing he is called a chain dog... an eternal slave...)

I love this photo behind the scenes. We never saw my lord without all the equipment. Except for the cape, which he often tore and lost.

 

Weird to see him without the cape. And ironic that I should say that when I have seen and enjoyed art that shows him without so much more, if you know what I mean.

 

Given what Darth Vader has done to subordinates, I think Poe got off light just being demoted and slapped by Leia. She could have taken a page from her father's book.

 

Same here! but apparently he kept obsessing about her, so he began studying the Mustafar story, and learned how there where earlier attempts by a long gone ruler (Lady Corvax) to cheat death.

She was in fact, responsible for the state Mustafar is now, and the Black Bishop, who must have contacted Vader in this process, was in fact Lord Corvax, trapped in time and space because of the attempts of her lover to save him. I think it was something along those lines...

 

A few reasons why is Vader my favorite character:

He has the strongest iconography in the saga with his helmet and costume.
He has one of the best themes of all time with the Imperial March.
I love his snarky sense of humor and theatrical sensibilities.
He is the Chosen One and his abilities match that description.
I love the diceotomy of him being incredibly strong but also a burnt, limbless husk who needs Bacta tank healing.
His backstory being a slave enhances his relationship with Palpatine.
I'm a fan of doomed love stories, so I love the Padme connection.
