I love how Vader is mostly cold as ice in persona. He exudes complete control and confidence. One handed duelling, snappy one liners, cool costume...the guy has it all.

Very strange and at the same time sad mini-comic about Vader. Sorry for the preview pictures, but six full-blown pictures in length would be a huge post.

 

I’ve been re-reading the Marvel Vader comic series, and it’s such a joy. They captured his personality so well, and put him into new and exciting situations at the same time. I’m hoping we get a third arc for Vader sometime later, set during the TESB era.

 

Oh yes! In February, the first issue of the new comic will be released, just between the fifth and sixth episodes. We'll see Vader going through Luke's rejection on Bespin. It's gorgeous! And the drawing is beautiful.

If I were Luke, I would take the news in stride at the moment, and figure out exactly how I felt about it later. My answer to Vader's invitation would have to be: "I can't. Because I am a person who keeps their promises. I cannot keep the promise I made if I go with you."

Another scene I dig: Anakin is feeling low and I think unsure immediately after the whole Mace incident. He gets the Vader moniker from Palpatine, and as we know, he then becomes the most iconic badass in the galaxy. Channeling the heartache into focused rage (especially after Padme’s death) is a huge part of my Vader fandom. He’s a deep character and the PT enriched that.

 

I really like steampunk and other non-standard versions of the Dark Lord.

 

The samurai look really fits Vader for obvious reasons as I believe Lucas was partially inspired by samurai armor for Vader especially for his helmet.

The watch fob of that first one is quite funny. It's great to have fun with characters.
