I never thought Tatooine's frequent appearances were uncalled for in the films. Backwater planets are great places to hide from corporate scouts, have illegal slavery, and conduct illegal Hutt business, thus it was the place of Anakin's departure from slavery, and consequentially separation from his mother to join the Jedi, thus being the one place Vader would never return to, making it the perfect spot for Luke to grow up in, and also the place Han would naturally be in to pay off Jabba before getting a little sidetracked.

That's all nice and fine and true, all I'm saying is there are quite a bit more backwater planets we've never seen before. It's a big galaxy.

Ahh, it looks very cool. I love the planet in the skyline and more exotic looking skies in Star Wars would be great.

I agree. However, Tatooine, while not being a significant planet to the galaxy, is significant to the Skywalker family.

I finally got a chance to watch The Clone Wars episode The Lawless (and the entire arc), and I had forgotten how much I liked Mandalore.

So I'll join the "I want to see Mandalore in Episode VII" chorus. I love the whole Picasso-Cubist-Guernica thing that they have going on... I think it's very, very cool, and I think it'll look incredible on screen in 60 frames per second or whatever they'll be up to by the time Episode VII comes out.

Wow, it'd be trippy if Mos Eisley or Mos Espa was that developed in the ST. Kinda like futuristic Kansas City being a huge metropolis in Looper.

How about a planet inhabited by a sentient bird species? We've never seen bird-like aliens in the films. Their planet could consist of high mountains and forests with elaborate nest civilizations.

Korriban is a place that can even play a larger role in the story, depending on who the villains are.
Would love to see Korriban and all the Sith Lord tombs.

Raxus Prime would be interesting. Final resting place for the Millennium Falcon?

I wonder . . . if one of the spinoff movies has a younger Han Solo in it, as rumored, would we see Han making the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs? That would be awesome to see in a movie!

Planets we've never heard of. Though I wouldn't mind seeing the spice mines of Kessel.

Regardless of the planet more landscape shots to set the scenes! Lucas, I feel, never did this well at all, except maybe for Hoth and perhaps Tattooine. As an example, the Hobit movie did this incredible well. Imagine that but with a planet on the horizen or a completely new landscape.

I just hope it's not set on only one planet. That would be somewhat lame.
