Grave of the Fireflies. It was a pretty good movie, but the little girl started to annoy me after a while.

Fantastic Four on DVD. The story could have been better, but the special effects were pretty great. The best thing about this film was Jessica Alba. [face_love] Although, the bridge scene was cool, and the heat-seeking missile scene was pretty intense, too. And I like how they used all four of their powers in the final battle...kinda like they did in X-Men. They all worked together like a true superhero team. :p

Last night: "The Squid and the Whale". Great performances in a film that really captures the reality of the situation and the time period (1986) REALLY well.

Today: "Syriana" incredibly intelligent political intrigue, though it's also an incredibly SLOW moving film.

    Dukes of Hazard
    Unrated

Only good thing in it was Daisy Duke. And the naked chicks. Sorrel Booke is the only Boss Hogg.

I've been watching a lot of movies lately.

X-Men - Good comic book movie
X-2 - Not as good as the first, but still a very fun one.
    Bourne Identity - Outstanding
The Chronicles of Narnia - Very good
The Producers - Pretty funny thus far.

I'm really hoping to see Syriana in a couple of days, that one looks outstanding.

I was gonna go see see Narnia, but the showing was sold out and my dad didn't want to do the late showing, so I returned home and watched:

    Raising Arizona (1st time)
Hilarious Coen Brothers movie. Cage and Hunter are both fabulous. I found myself cracking up every few minutes. And some truelly great quotes.

Saw 'Narnia' last night. Considering I've never been a fan of the books, I enjoyed the movie a lot. Even if all the talking animals made it seem like LOTR meets Dr. Doolittle at times :p

Terminator 3 ? Every time I see this, I become a little more impressed with the way it holds up to its two predecessors despite the fact that Cameron was not involved. I think it maintains the same sharp sense of pacing, camp, and action style while offering a plot line that actually works as a natural sequel. Best of all, the film wraps up with a very Cameronesque sense of ingrained humanity that takes center stage over the surface happenings of the plot climax. For my money, T3 is perhaps the most underappreciated of the myriad big franchise blockbusters that have been released over the past few years.

At the theaters: Narnia *** out of ****
At home: On Her Majesty Secret Service (1969) George Lazenby's first and only James Bond movie. If he had done more films he would have been one of the best. **** out of ****

The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe - I can't believe some of the negative comments on here about this movie, I thought it was amazing, one of the best children's fantasy films ever made. It was wonderful, I hope they make the other six books into movies of this quality.

Mr & Mrs Smith - Better than I expected, some quite funny moments.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown/You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown - double feature DVD. The first one is probably second only to the Christmas special. The second one has not dated at all and was pretty good.

A Double Life - Ronald Colman is excellent as an actor who becomes obsessed with the role of Othello and begins to lose his grip on reality. Never went quite as dark as it could have, but entertaining.

What are you talking about, Gobi?! Lazenby was one of the best.

Gobi: Lazenby is the most physically imposing Bond. His fight scenes were electric. Diana Rigg is second only to Ursula Andress. OHMSS IS the epic Bond. It is my favorite of the current twenty-three existing Bond movie/teleplays. Next year's "Casino Royale" will not threaten it's place on my list. Martin Campbell is a mediocre choice to helm. I only marginally liked his "Goldeneye" and loathed his "Legend of Zorro", the latter being the last movie I've seen.

Last DVD I've seen was "ROTS".

ezekiel22x: T3's Kristanna Loken was a terrific find choice for Terminatrix. I liked Nick Stahl more than Edward Furlong. Mostow did a credible job. I wuz impressed. Heck, even Jim himself praised "Rise of the Machines".

Maybe Mostow can coax Arnold to relinquish the governorship and film True Lies 2?! Nah, that franchise can only be broached by the Camernator. Just like Porsche, there is no substitute.

Oh and one last thought on 007. Daniel Craig? Uninspired choice. Kinda like when Michael Keaton donned the cowl. Angelina Jolie? Great, but if Bond sux, what's the point?!

Fight Club on DVD and I can see why it has the good rep it does. I knew the plot twist ahead of time thanks to hearsay but, it was still good and I liked how they implimented the twist.
