JCC What Was Your First Song of the Day?

    I used to have a radio alarm clock, but I outsourced that job to China, and now like most people, my iPhone wakes me up.

    The first song of the day for me usually now comes from my car radio. I don’t know why first song is so sticky, but it’ll set the tone and be in my head all day.

    This morning was Rush - The Spirit of Radio.

    Yeah, I wasn’t expecting that either.

    Oh well, jam out with your clam out it is then.

    I use a beeping alarm, so my first song is almost invariably whatever is stuck in my head enough to demand I opt to relisten in the middle of the podcast I'm actually trying to listen to.

    Lately that's been this bizarre thing, which has approximately eight lines of lyrics repeated ad nauseam so of course it wormed its way in there:

    Whatever BBC Radio 3 (classical station) is playing when I wake up. Having it on overnight on low volume helps me sleep.

    Mmmbop because my 9yr old was in my car with me yesterday afternoon and he literally requests it every time we go anywhere. The first song I hear is always in my car on the way to the gym
