ST What will be the BIG SHOCK in Episode 9

Could be made canon in episode 9, and would be a big shock. What else would really? Ren turning good? Reylo? Snoke coming back? Luke coming back? None of that would shock me. Leia killing Ren? Maybe.

 

the biggest shock is rey's true identity..the storyline as below;

shock no.01 - qi'ra met darth maul and saw the clone machine that bring back the sith to live


shock no.02 - the clone machine was the masterpiece of Galen Erso


shock no.03 - Cassian didnt knew about the clone machine bcoz it is under project 'Stardust 2'..If cassian scroll futher down he wouldve found out both "death star" and "clone machine" files at Scarif archive


shock no.04 - Galen Erso is Han Solo's biological father, meaning Han Erso is Jyn Erso's elder brother


shock no.05 - However the cloning cost is 1.5milion credit per soldier, so Darth Sidious decide to proceed with droid clones in 'Attack of the clones'


shock no.06 - Jabba the Hutt from Hutt Cartel have good offer to Darth Sidious, Jabba rape Princess Leia and offer the female Skywalker's DNA for cloning which will create a Jedi Army and help Sidious to conquer Republic


shock no.07 - However Ben Solo's midichlorian count is very low..Leia ask Luke to train him


shock no.08 - The darks power inside Ben Solo and Rey is inherited from Jabba, this is why the lightsaber cant choose its owner during the fight

shock no.22 - Chewie and Real Rey used Luke's X-wing fully submerged in the water and fly back to Naboo..Jedi Order restored, the end

In a shocking twist we learn that Rey is closely related to her parents.

 

Rey is revealed to be Jean-Luc Picard's daughter.

 

Kylo cuts off Rey's hand and says the iconic line.

"Rey, I am your father."

 

Finn is Luke's son by a Black Mara jade.

Example:

She left Luke before Kylo's fall without telling him about their unborn child. Unfortunately she was captured and killed by the FO after she gave birth to Finn (Official name "Biggs" in honor of Luke's fallen childhood friend). This entire trilogy has really been about Rey getting caught in the conflict between the Grandson's of Anakin Skywalker. Kylo has the power, but Finn is the one that holds the better angels of the Skywalker line's nature...and in the end, Rey chooses the light....chooses family....chooses the people who stood beside her from the beginning.... when Kylo was determined to throw it all away for his new vision of the universe.

 

I will be disappointed if this is not the plot of 9 now.

 

Kylo, in his obsession with Rey and his never ending quest to find out “why is she so powerful without any training and without an established bloodline durr” has Gone Back to Jakku to research her history. Within the crashed AT-AT she called home he discovers amongst her belongings a picture of her and her parents, unfortunately taken by a terrible photographer who couldn’t manage to get her parents’ faces in the frame. The caption scrawled onto the bottom of the Polaroid photo says “rey and mom and dad.”

bUT WHAT’s ThiS?! There is a smudge of grime covering part of the caption. With trembling hands Kylo removes his glove and scrapes the speck away and it. Is. REVEALED:

The name of the girl in the photo is not “rey” but rather: “Grey” !!!

And on the back, more writing: “The Jedi Family of Southern Jakku.”

Her true, full name is Grey Jedi!!! Let Twitter and reddit rejoice! Look alive, Ayn Rand fans, this is. Your. STAR WARS!!

I don't know what I think the big shock will be from the narrative, if there is one, but I know that I will be shocked if Episode IX can pull off making this trilogy seem like a true continuation AND finale to the saga.

 

It's all just a secret trilogy to Unbreakable.

 

Mark Hamill will return at the end to "save the day", but will turn on the Resistance and reveal himself to be Luuke Skywalker.

 

Obi-Wan Force Ghost will jump into culmination scene and say "Hello there".

 

I know for sure this won't happen. The reason why? Mark Henry does not have a six pack.

 

I'd love the big surprise to be that Snoke IS actually Darth Plagueis and that he was able to reanimate himself with the dark side. To have him return and actually be the villain we desperately need in the ST would be awesome. I want him to be so powerful that it makes Palps look like an amateur and I want it to seem that all hope is lost with him returning (maybe by killing a group of innocent people just by willing it to happen, or something like that).

But you know what would be even better? I've love to see Rey actually look like she is about to be defeated and killed by Plagueis and Kylo in a final confrontation. Just as things seem to be hopeless for her, suddenly there is a flash of light and Luke appears, in the flesh, because he is the ultimate light side master and is able to truly return from the netherworld of the force. We then get to see Luke have an epic duel of the ages against Plagueis while Rey continues to fight Kylo. I'd then love to see Rey somehow redeem Kylo in an emotional appeal to live up to his blood line and be the hero he needs to be (maybe with a little nudge from Ghost Anakin along the way, who can reference his love for Padme and Leia). Then we can have Luke be joined by Rey and Ben against what seems to be an unstoppable Plagueis, who appears to be winning against Luke. And for the Light to ultimately prevail, Luke, Rey, and Ben are given final assistance from ghosts Obi-Wan, Yoda, Anakin, and perhaps Qui-Gon as they give some extra light side help in the force to extinguish the dark. Finally, in the end, after Plagueis is defeated, Luke disappears in an emotional farewell to rejoin his mentors, father, and sister in the netherworld of the force. We can then cut to an emotional celebration for Rey, Ben, and the Resistance (Lando, Poe, Finn, Rose, Chewie...who also had their own battle against Hux and the FO military in which the Resistance prevails).

Rey and Ben are then able to move forward into a brighter future with hints that they not only start a functioning NJO, but are also carrying the Skywalker bloodline forward through their children. We also have the hints of a truly just and proper government put in place that the New Republic should have been from the beginning post-ROTJ.

This, I could accept. This could make me excited for the future of Star Wars.

I have a bad feeling that this isn't ever going to happen because, after TLJ, I have very little faith in Star Wars under Disney's ownership. That being said, if they did end Ep 9 in a similar way to what I've described, it would IMO fix a lot of my misgivings with the TLJ. Not all (some are too ridiculous to correct), but it would be a good step in the right direction.

 

I will actually like it beyond Mark’s performance.

 

I'll go with two of the biggest shocks that caused so much controversy in TLJ:

- Rey's parents
- Snoke origins and identity

I'm okay with Rey being a nobody that came from nowhere, however, I have a hard time believing that it was what Abrams had in mind. Maz Kanata's dialogues were oddly suspicious, especially when she asks "Who's the girl?" and the scene cuts. Although it may have done deliberately to mislead fans, I have the feeling this chapter in Rey's book is not over yet.

And Snoke... Regardless if he somehow comes back to life or not as some people want, I think that at least there will be some expository dialogue (or even a flashback) that explains him and the main aspects of the First Order's rise to power. LucasFilm should be aware that most people wouldn't be interested enough to read a novel or Wookieepedia.

Others big (but not unexpected) shocks might include Lando diying and the Falcon being destroyed. But I hope I'll be wrong with those ones.

Leia saves Rey by killing Kylo Ren. Ren appolgizes as he dies.

 

The big shock for the trilogy has already been and gone, Kylo killing Snoke, so don't expect another. Abrams didn't use any real shocks in TFA, Kylo being Ben Solo was kind of predictable, as far as Abrams is concerned for IX that's your lot folks.

 

I think in the age of internet speculation nothing will truly be a “shock” to non-casuals.

It’ll simply be a “oh so THAT’S what they went” with moment.

TFA and TLJ were clearly written with different intents in mind.

I think JJ’s thinking was,

PT: Anakin’s Fall

OT: Anakin’s Redemption

ST: Anakin’s Legacy

His original idea was probably to have Rey be Luke’s daughter (A: he said her parents weren’t in TFA, not the singular parent B: Ridley thought her parents were obvious, missing parents + missing Luke = obvious) and to have the two grandchildren battle over the dual legacy of their grandfather.

Then TFA releases to near universal praise except that it’s a bit too similar to ANH.

Rian promises to mix things up and thinks the above is too obvious so he subverts all the grand theories and makes Rey nobody, being a hero or changing the galaxy isn’t about what your last name is. It’s what YOU do.

Casuals generally like it, fandom schisms lol

The truth will be somewhere in between so I voted for prophecy related (kinda).

I’m thinking she’s either the new chosen one (THAT will be the shock for casuals). Whenever the dark side rises there will be a chosen one to set things right. Anakin was born the Chosen One but Rey became it, which may be a greater thing.

Sets a new expectation for future SW films for new, non-Skywalker heroes going forward and is positive message for the kids at home lol

Then again I have been known to make mistakes... from time to time...

 

Basically I think TLJ wrote JJ into a bit too much of a corner to get back to original idea so he’ll think “Well, if I can’t make her a Skywalker I’ll make her the new chosen one instead” as a work around.

 

I think J.J always ment for her to be a random - "The Belonging you seek is not behind you - it is ahead" but where Rian stuffed it up was her relationship with Luke.

 

Hmm, that is an interesting line.
I suppose my response to that needs to be split between In Universe and Out of Universe.
In Universe we have had Yoda and Obi Wan not wanting to tell Luke about his father and Kylo worshipping Vader so I always took that line as continuing along that line, fear of his descendants being inspired by him.
Out of Universe there has been a few instances of people saying JJ had a different parentage planned. Simon Pegg is one that springs to mind.

 

The one thing that still bothers me is if Rey's parents sold her for drinking money then died on Jakku, who in the hell is she screaming at to come back as they fly a ship off of Jakku in TFA?
