ST What will be the BIG SHOCK in Episode 9

Man, sneaking some ultra-hush-hush footage of Natalie (decade-de-aged CG or whatever to match up with II & III) into this as some hologram footage or something would be pretty bananas if they could pull it off and it made sense in a non-fanservice-y exposition way.

Can't see it happening, given Portman's love-hate relationship with her prequels time, but it'd be so damn cool. Like, I never would have expected her shooting new stuff for Endgame either, or Ian being back for this, guess it's not a total impossibility.

 

How is that a shock ?

 

Was thinking about the complaints about DS II that it was repetitive. I myself wouldn’t mind yet another DS.what about a fleet of Black Death Stars coming from the unknown regions .

Maybe all of this does not go far enough .what about a dark side power to activate the galaxys black hole in its centre.Darth Sidious tries not to rule but to destroy the galaxy .

 

The big shock will be how little screen-time Luke has in this film.

The big shock will be that Ben Solo is not Han Solo's biological child. He was a force creation by Snoke/Plagueis.

We will learn that Han is sterile and knew it back then, and this is what led to the turmoil that ended up with he and Leia essentially splitting. This happens because a.) he didn't believe in some all powerful force controlling everything, and b.) because neither of them have ever heard the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise, since it is no story the Jedi would tell them.

"We each dealt with it in our own way." That line in TFA means something, something very important, IMO.

 

But WHAT??? That's been my question since that very line was spoken. What were they dealing with? Something BIG happened and it was big enough to split the family into 3 different directions. Han left, and Leia sent Ben to train with Luke because "IT" was too much for her to handle. What was the "IT" that happened???

 

Rey's mom is Shmi Skywalker.
I don't know how, or even think that would be a thing, but in case it is, here's where I get to look back and say told ya so.

Rey is a skywalker from the future.Ben Solo is her father or grandfather.

 

The big shock will be Rey actually faces an obstacle.

 

The big shock wait for it.......is Palpatine Rey's daddy who like Anakin he created trough the force

 

Cloning!! That's the big shock, we're heading down the cloning route again!
Rey will create a troop of Luke clones, these will be known as Skywalker. Hence "The Rise of Skywalker".
We will discover their true powers, such as their ability to survive in the vacuum of space (as per Leia), hence the name Skywalker - they can walk in the sky!
As for the other powers, like Jack-Jack from The Incredibles, essentially whatever fits the needs of the script.

 

So I just had an image of the twins from the "Shining" (just more of them, and in the red stormtrooper uniforms) all speaking in that unison with that monotone voice "We're Luke Skywalker, we're here to rescue you."

 

Rey is THE FORCE!

 

The big shock will be that at the end of nine instead of the credits we will see Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith opening a locker ....

 

Jar Jar Binks returns as a goofy sidekick to Rey.
