CT What's your favorite Han Solo moment or line?

Han Solo, realizing he was going to be friendzoned by the girl he likes and ACCEPTED it and chose not to call her a *****, even promising to not get in their way as a couple and respects her feelings.












This his how George Lucas showed Han Solo maturing as a character and completing his character arc in IV-VI instead of letting him die in the end as Ford, Kasdan and Kurtz wanted.

^ Yeah, maybe the first time in his life Han tries to be noble and self-sacrificing without any cynicism or wise-cracking... and he's just totally wrong.

No wonder he finally went back to the only thing he was ever good at.

Flying through the Asteroid field in ESB has so many classic lines:

"Shut him up or shut him down!"

"Never tell me the odds!

"It's not my fault!"

"They'd be crazy to follow us!"

 

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" This one is my favorite. He has no chance but tries to take them on just for the hell of it, then ends up running into the whole battalion and scrambling to back Chewie while shooting back at the same time. One of the goofy Han moments that shows how much fun he has messing with the Empire.

"Lando's not a system. He's a man" Han's "That's no moon." A small moment I've always liked. He gives a sincere response to Leia's goofy "Lando System?"
"Hurry up will ya. I haven't got all day" Threepio's double take after is just as good.

 

Chasing a squad full of stormtroopers with a cocksure war cry only to run into a room with a battalion of stormtroopers, and that war cry quickly changing to a scream of terror.

 

Good point. I also like Han's facial expression while he's kissing Leia after he delivers that line. He's happy to be kissing her, but he's confused out of his mind about why she had previously kissed Luke.

 

LordDallos Exactly. Serious and fun moment at the same time. It's a great way to show that Han is a loyal, brave, cocky go-getter.

 

I dont know if it's possible to pick one. There are too many.... I love the shrug he gives the Imperials after he tricks them into coming outside on Endor

Han's banter with 3PO is always amusing.

 

"What's going on?"

Chewie barks back.

"Luke? Luke's crazy. He can't even take care of himself, much less rescue anybody"

"A Jedi Knight? Jeez, I'm out of it for a little while, everybody gets delusions of grandeur"

I always get a kick out of Han's dry sense of humor here.

 

When he shoots Greedo before Greedo even tries to shoot at him at all

 

"Ow! Chewie!"

One of the funniest moments in ESB.

 

I like cranky Han after being in carbonite.

"Luke?! Luke's crazy!"

"That bad, huh?"

"That bad huh?"

Everyone THINKS Han's this ice cool dude but he's been winging it his whole life... and he knows it.

I always thought he said "You're gonna be a part of the wreckage" lol

I like the exchange "Would it help if I got out and pushed?"

then C-3PO saying "Captain Solo, Captain Solo..."
and Han just points the finger at him to shut him up, before heading to the cockpit and hitting the Falcon to start those circuits up again. Brilliant.

 

What PymParticles said. Especially the lines in ESB, my favorite would have to be "I Know"

 

My favorite Han Solo quote's from one of the novels - "I happen to like shooting first, as opposed to shooting second!" Mostly because the novel that was written for actually came out almost twenty years before the new editions that had Greedo shooting first, making that line hilarious in hindsight.

Actually, it's hard as hell to come up with a favorite one. I think I'll have to go with "we're fine, we're all fine here now, thank you, how are you?"
