I think we can all agree that Seinfeld had the worst ending of any TV show imaginable.

Wonder years was worse in my book. The ending just plain sucked... I felt cheated! After a year of watching the re-runs on Nick-at-Nite, Kevin not only doesn't get Winnie, but everyone else in his family gets screwed over too. Bah!

It should have been Paul. He should have died.

I always wanted to punch him square in the grill.

I can deal with a wussy kid.
It was his whining and cocky attitude like he thought he was the man or something.
Then when he stopped wearing the glasses he looked all wrong.

The ending should have been the following:

*Mom divorces Dad and moves to Vegas to marry Tony Bennett

*Dad stays and marries another sucker

    *Paul dies (horrible painful death)

*His bro comes out of the closet

*His sis gets 20 years for prostitution and dealing PCP

*Kevin knocks up Winnie and they get married

Man, I LOVED Quantum Leap. But I never saw the last episode. And now, after hearing how it ended, I think it has to be more depressing. :( :_|

I liked the Quantum Leap episode. To me, it was pretty clear that what Sam wanted was to help people. That is why he sabotaged his own time machine and that is why he made the choice to remain as a time traveler. That's not depressing, that's heroic. ;)

What was the ending to Roseanne? I must have missed it. I missed the ending to Wonder Years too, and now I'm all bummed out.

The Wonder Years has to be the most depressing. Just knowing that things will never be the same for Kevin again just makes me cry. The best ending for a series has to Happy Days though. I was crying in happiness after knowing that everyone ended up happy. :)

I can't remember the ending of the Wonder Years, as I saw it probably ten years ago or more.

I thought that towards the end of the series, that Kevin and Winnie slept with each other, is this in the final episode?

And didn't Paul become Marylin Manson?

I didn't mind the ending to The Wonder Years. I thought it was tastfuly done and appropriate.

Quantum Leap, on the other hand, was hard to take seriously on any level.

And didn't Paul become Marylin Manson?

That was just an untrue rumor put out there by one of Manson's disgruntled ex-bandmates.

I thought that towards the end of the series, that Kevin and Winnie slept with each other, is this in the final episode?

All they did was hold each other and wait for the rain to stop.

I thought DS9 had a pretty depressing ending. We STILL don't know the fate of the main character, but we know what Nog's up too.

Quantum Leap was. Besides, it wasn't supposed to end then, but it was cancelled after all the episodes had been finished, so they just slapped a "Sam Beckett never returned home" tag at the end to give it a semi-actual ending.

At least these shows had endings. "The Pirates of Dark Water" never even made it to the final episode. And Cartoon Newtork teased us by claiming to have the final episode, o nly to show a kitten drinking a bowl of milk.

Can someone post a semi-detailed synopsis about the last episode of Quantum Leap? I only remember the bit about him not getting home and some frelled up diner with other leapers in it or something.

This is going to bug me. :_|

    ------------

And the "series finale" to Space: Above and Beyond pissed me off almost as bad as the "series finale" of Angel. Neither of them were really series finales. They were the first part of a two part episode that never got finished because Fox and the WB are run by a bunch of frelling retards that sit around doing this all day:

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v136/bippo/stewieduhhhh.gif]

I really wanted to find out what happened to Vansen and Damphousse!

    Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    *ahem*

    :p

The wonder years was really depressing. The quantom leap one doesn't stick out in my mind but i was very young then. Hell i was young for wounder years but i watch it in reruns. DS9 was depressing, but B5 made me cry a little.

So Dr. Sam Beckett leaps into a bar....
No its not a joke, its the worst episode ever!!!

Ok, so he leaps in and that guy who use to be on McGuyver(Not McGuyver, the guy with the mustache) is the bar keep. He offers Sam a beer in some odd named beer glass. Sam takes the beer and happens to look in the mirror and sees......himself! (I don't even think he said "oh boy")

So he stares at himself and the bartender comments on it. BTW, bartender's name is Al. A old timer(If you're a Star Trek fan, its the guy who played Data's grandpa, 'To know him is to love him is to know him') and the guy has a quick drink and leaves. When he leaves Sam waves a paper in his face indicated that they guy smelled bad. Barkeep Al says sorry for not warning about the bad breath of Gushie. (What another guy in the world named Gushie with bad breath? What?) Then comes in a guy with a kinda hump back. He looks scary and has a Russian accent. His name is Steve. (Well the Russian version of Steve). Of course he doesn't trust Sam and thinks hes like a mining inspector or something and Sam's like no I'm not look at my id! And he pulls out his license only to see the hologram picture and realize he shouldn't show that. So Steve really doesn't trust him. Sam realizes he is some mining town in like Penn State. Cue the song "Coal Miners daughter".
Of course there is an accident at the mine, and two guys are trapped. Two brothers. Various miners drop by the bar all looking exactly like people Sam has helped in the past. (Like the guy who was on a tv show and thought he could invent a time machine, his name is Ziggy, a nickname given to him by barkeep Al)
Meanwhile Al [face_love] back in the future is having troubling centering on Sam. So in an amazing scene, Dean Stockwell goes and stands in front of a blue screen!!!!!! Anyhow, this grayish column comes down over him and spins around, which is apparently the way they center on Sam. Al[face_love] knows that wherever Sam is, its his birthday. So they start the search on Sam's first birthday. And we're like Noooo Gushie, he means his birthday, birth day!
So anyhow, Sam realizes that Barkeep Al is something more then a barkeep. But Barkeep Al just likes to be mysterious. Thus annoying and really only has one line that makes him sound like Al [face_love] . So I can't remember how they got the guys out of the mine but they do. But Sam is suspicious how Steve knows how much about how the two brothers feel down there in the mine. All the miners(Including the trap ones, which are the brothers from the episode where Sam leaps into a mentally handicap guy) come back to the bar to celebrate and as soon as they do Steve smiles and raises a drink to them but then Leaps! Sam freaks out and starts to scream about Steve but everyone is like what? And old timer Gushie is like, "What Steve? He died in '33! 20 years ago!" Luckily Al[face_love] finds Sam and they go outside to talk. Sam just talks all confusing to our poor Al. But does give some clue. Steve is Al's uncle! So Al[face_love] leaves to 'go figure it out'.
Barkeep comes outside and Sam laughs over the joke of Al's uncle. But Barkeep Al tells Sam that the leaps are going to get harder and so Sam cries. And cries over not helping Al get back together with Beth. (As well he should!)
Basically barkeep Al tells him that he could go home at anytime, when he really wants too, when hes ready to stop helping people and says in a tearful voice, "God bless Sam". And Sam leaps.........Into Beth's house as she is still dancing to "Georgia on my Mind". (One must assume she had her cry and went back to dancing) She sees Sam and gets upset and he says, hes just there to tell her that Al is alive and of course she cries happily. Camera pans over to the picture of our handsome Al(Which looks more like cute Al from 'A leap from Lisa' then a ten year old picture o

    I love you, Mitt. [face_love]

    :p

    ---------------

It's all coming back to me now. That pissed me off too. He could have gone home, but Sam had to go and be a time-leaping goody two-shoes.

DS9 and B5 had excellent finales.

Since I'm not old enough to remember The Wonder Years and don't really care either way, Quantum Leap. That line about Sam never going home made me a sad, sad panda.
