Which version of Alderaan's destruction and the death of Bail Organa are actually canon?

And yet a comment if I can remember from the next book indicated they still hadn't elected a new representative. Considering it took less than three months (apparently), internal timeline of the Aftermath trilogy remains troubling and headache inducing, for other worlds to get one rep for the restored Republic, Alderaan still hadn't nearly twelve months later while Leia was off Jedi training and then being pregnant while arguing with Mon Mothma over a serious issue -- Kashyyyk should've been liberated within the first month following Endor -- without anything else to do.
