Discussions Who is your favorite female Jedi?

Seba is cool, and definitly strong she proved that very many times!

 

Looks like Mara and Jaina are coming in second after Ahsoka.

I do wish that Sword of the Jedi book could have been released. Jaina never truly got to take center stage. The LOTF series should have focused on Ben and Jaina as the protagonists. Plus, I didn't like how Jacen's motivation for turning to the dark side changed from wanting to prevent the death of Luke to later considering to kill Luke. But that's another kettle of fish. I think that Mara and Jaina were handled very well in that series. Boba Fett was, too. Aaron Allston should not have written any of those novels. They should have just hired Karen Traviss to write the entire series or work more closely with Troy Denning (since he was better than Allston).

Sacrifice is the best novel in that series, and I liked Mara Jade and Lumiya's perspectives. I liked the interactions between Jaina and Boba Fett better than Jaina's duel with Caedus, though I seem to be one of the few people who accepts Caedus' fall to the dark side and the fact that Jaina killed him. I just my imagination to fix some of the continuity errors and other problems in that storyline.

 

Ahsoka Tano easily... The balance of the force is the most important thing. She definitely represents the grey jedi.

 

I think I might of changed my mind on my favorite female Jedi, though Shaak Ti is still one of my favorites and canon wise is still my favorite.

In terms of Legends Jaina Solo is my favorite. Similar personality to Han Solo, top X-wing pilot, highly deadly Jedi (with a purple lightsaber no less), likely the one who started the future Imperial Knights, trained by Boba Fett himself to stop Darth Caedus and an overall badass IMO.

Really liked stories with Aayla in the Star Wars Republic Comics and Clone Wars multimedia project.

 

I really miss Mara Jade. But am happy I own her figures. Especially the Black Series

The concept of a female Jedi from a Lizard type species was awesome and she was a great chatacter with the interesting and odd to humans Barabel sense of humour

Mara Jade Skywalker is my favorite. A close second is Bastila Shan.

 

Fay is obscure but is notable.

She was apparently near immortal(if not outright so) and seemed to have a personal policy of solving disputes and conflicts and helping people without violence.

She was a peace maker, but also a maverick as she operated outside(most of the time) of the council’s writ. A sort of mirror of An’ya Kuro.

 

I never thought of her as a parallel to An'ya Kuro, but that makes a great deal of sense. It has been said that she is the Star Wars universe's answer to Galadriel. I would have liked to have seen her in a few more stories.

Jedi2187leia, if I had to do it over again, I would have put Callista on this list. But I can't revise it, unfortunately. I did name a character in my novel after Callista, however. Different personality, though.

 

I voted for Satale but I also love Bastilla and Shaak Ti and one not mentioned Bultar Swan.

 

Satale Shan is a great choice, she is actually one of my fav Female Jedi.

 

As a child of the early EU, gotta say:

I still have to tip my cap to Ahsoka. Might be approaching "favorite jedi", with no other qualifiers.

My favourite would be Ahsoka, and after her would be Jaina.

 

In the Disney’s Canon Is Ahsoka (though she’s not really a Jedi anymore). In heOld Expanded Universe Is Shaak-Ti.

 

@Anakin Solo Skywalker I really appreciate your appreciation (lol) of Shaak Ti, she was the Jedi who stood up to Grievous and learned from their previous encounter, to an army of Magnaguards, who stood up to Galen Marek and planted the seeds for his change, along with doing her best to help Maris Brood with her demons.

She also dealt with the loss of more than one Padawan, and never held any ill-will towards their assassin, prioritizing the mission and doing the right thing over her own grudges, like a good Jedi does, not through apathy, but through serenity.

Plus, she rightfully questioned the Jedi's place in the Clone War.

 

Shaak-Ti was bombad in the Clone Wars Cartoon. She fought valiantly against Gen Grevious.
