Rukh in STAR WARS REBELS was an unexpected one.

I would love for the next Inquisitor to actually have some gravitas, though.

So I predict Jerec or Tremayne.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Starkiller is made canon again in a Disney Force Unleashed game. Either a remake of the original game or re-release or The Force Unleashed III.

Oh god that would mean EA would produce it since they have exclusive licensing rights as far as Star Wars goes. It'd be an even worse story than the original Force Unleashed, which was already bad.

I'm going to have nightmares because of you. Thanks.

Ever notice that the Thor: Ragorak teaser is eerily similar to the TFU II's?

Good point, I can definitely see the similarities! In fact, this wouldn't be the first time a Thor movie has cop...I mean was inspired by a Star Wars video game trailer. Thor 2: The Dark World had a very similar scene to the TOR: Deceived trailer:

All these names make me nostalgic for the EU. :) I'm just reading the Heir to the Empire Zahn books again, and it was just so exciting to see Star Wars re-emerge again as books and comics at that time.

I'm also for Mara Jade. She is an interesting character, and has a striking look.

I want Tremayne back, and some of the blue-blooded Imperials. Grant, maybe.

Why do advocates of a female Revan claim it is "inherently superior" to a male Revan? How would you like it if we fans of a male Revan said the same to you?
I too second this from real-world political experience.
What you think of Lucas is irrelevant. Similarly, what I think of Lucas is also irrelevant. If he's OK with it, then it is real Star Wars.

A bit off topic, but I laughed at how the Rogue One Visual Guide directly included and discussed the image of the TIE Fighter confronting Jyn on the gantry way, when Edwards later said that that shot had always only been for the trailer and was never going to be in the actual movie.

I know Mara Jade will not be made canon, best she can hope for is an homage, Ben Solo being a composite of the Solo Kids, And Ezra Bridger being a mashup (personality/ skill-set) of Jacen Solo and Jaden Cor, animal friendship, semi heretical.

I am hoping fro Talon Karrde and his crew, and Shada Nelprin (Vison of the past/ Specter of the future)

I felt that scene was very close to the Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight game scene when Kyle gets attacked when standing on the docking bay and shot at by the hovering Tie Bomber and Jan in the HWK-290 saves him by blowing the Tie out've the air.

I'm still a bit disappointed they didn't put the Mouldy Crow in with the rebel fleet in Rogue One. For me, that would have been a sweeter easter egg than the Ghost.

Kanan and Kyle Katarn are kind of like Han and Malcolm Reynolds. They're different but fill the same shoes.

The Mouldy Crow isn't Kyle Katarn though. To me the ship is a character just like the Millennium Falcon, with a history of owners and its own stories. At that time The Crow was owned by the Rebel Alliance not Kyle, so even if Kyle never exists in canon, that doesn't mean the Crow has to not exist also, any rebel pilot could have been flying it if it was seen in Rogue One.

Nobody said that in this thread. Some people said they preferred the fem-Revan better.

I think you're referring to what I said about how I thought fem-Revan made for a better story? Well two things there:

    1) I explained why I thought that -- it's because when you play the game for the first time, you assume the big-bad-Revan everyone's always quaking about is dude. I did that and I'm not a dude, just a product of early-2000s gaming culture. Most badass villains in games are dudes unless they're overly sexified gals with bare midriffs. So the reveal is twice as shocking.

    2) If you're talking about something I said and extrapolating that everyone else thinks that way, remember San Hill is my god.

Wait you mean there are people on this forum who do not see San Hill as god? Blasphemy!!!!

But yeah good points. I think what you said about 2000s gaming culture is honestly the one of the biggest arguments for why Fem-Revan is the best option. even with today and improved diversity, taking a character that came from a male dominated medium (character wise not player base wise), and making their resurgence in canon a female lead is a great idea. That and we need more female villains in the canon especially for Force Users. We have Ventress and...........I guess Barriss in terms of major ones and neither are Sith. Having the Sith who nearly brought the Republic to its knees be a woman is just better across the board to me.

It still tickles me that Obsidian basically told the player off if they decided Revan was male.

    Atton: You know women.
Exile: What? Revan was a man, not a woman!
Atton: Maybe you're right. Maybe I just HOPED Revan was a woman. *POINTED STARE*

It's been probably a decade since I last played either KOTOR, so I don't even remember the reasons for this, but I do distinctly remember thinking that Revan was better as a female and the Exile was better as a male.

    I'm the opposite for romances.

Bastilla and Revan work best as a romance couple for a LS run.

Exile and Atton Rand are the classic Leia/Han but with Jedi added onto it.

But yes, BOTH have good stories for either gender.

I think Revan is best as a male character personally because I like Satele Shan as a character and also because it's a storyline which I'd like to see canonized again. If not for The Old Republic and the fact it's already been pre-canonized, I would be okay with a female Revan as I *ALSO* like Carth Onasi/Revan as a romance and think they'd have been a cool character to build on. I don't see Revan as a "villain" though and that may be coloring my perception of matters.

I would love to recanonize Kreia as well.

I like male revan cause Satele is honestly by far a better character in my mind personally, BUT you can just have Satele be the child of Fem-Revan and carth or grandchild or whatever

Of course, I'd love for them to recanonize the Exile and Revan in broad strokes for a canon game and maybe remove the ignominous way they died.

Ignominious? was it not the fans who kept demanding his return?

Can you imagine the backlash if Han died like he did in TFA in NJO or LOTF? the comments would blot out the sun.
